"US police as dangerous as criminals"
Man tasered and killed for running a stop light
Paul Craig Roberts: "The police are now as dangerous to citizens
as criminals and far more dangerous than terrorists."
This "extreme opinion" also happens to be the position of the
mostly conservative residents of a rural California community
who saw one of its own cut down by local "law enforcement"
after a minor traffic violation.
I guess it's easier to harass - and occasionally kill - law abiding
citizens than it is to do real police work. Unfortunately, more and
more police departments are choosing the former over the ltater.
Accountability?
Zero.

The Second Amendment may be the only thing that stands between the American people and total control by the Government. Apathy and non participation by the public have brought us to this point. 1% of us ever serve in the Military, less than half ever vote. Where is the respect , appreciation , civic pride and RESPONSIBILITY of the remaining Citizens?

There are some excellent police still on the job however management has taken control and does not allow individual thinking but a side problem is the militarizing of our police many of these kids have never seen war and when they gain new toys they are anxious try them on citizens.

I don't understand the cop bashing. Of course there are some bad apples. I personally know a lot of cops. They are all ex-military. It's a thankless, dangerous, stressful job. Just be glad they are there when you really need them.

Ok, I'm going to show my age here but I see this trend in very young officers especially in the special teams units, a lot of well, not to be to blunt, we'll call it Macho thinking, us against the world mentality. I find prior military on average have the most common sense in dealing with people, but this is all based on what I have contact with.

"US police as dangerous as criminals"
I think the title of this thread is inappropriate. As I said before, there are bad apples in any organization. Cops deserve a lot more respect than they are given by some people....I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...
