"Last night we got 2 more and today while hiking in a hot area I spotted 8 and stayed with them until the Border Patrol arrived. - 173 total To date this year.

I thought maybe they were so the hot sand wouldn't melt thier shoes. That fence looks pretty wimpy. We need something at least 3 times that height (and obviously deeper into the sand) to do much good. Thanks for the pics....very eye opening!
