Sen. Sessions E-Verify Floor Speech -- 7/7/09

Sen. Jeff Sessions offered an E-Verify amendment to the Homeland Security spending bill, requiring all federal contractors to use the workplace verification tool. Sen. Sessions gave the speech during floor debate of the amendment on July 7, 2009. The amendment would survive a motion to table by a 53-to-44 vote and then passed by a voice vote.

I have not had to write or call my Senators since I moved to Alabama.

The congressman that "represents" me however, is a rubber stamp for Plelosi and the Party instead of the people that he was elected to represent. He was one of the 37 vulnerable in 2010 Democrats that I feel were allowed to vote against Cap and Trade as an election ploy.

I've got Schumer, Gillibrand and Nydia Velezquez but I still call and write.
At times it seems pointless but I refuse to just 'not be heard'.

Oh, I stay in contact with them... They "hear" from me about once a week. Senator Sessions gets most of my attention in the form of "Atta Boys", and Shelby has had a few also I haven't had to send nasty grams to either.

In fact, the last correspondence with their offices was to send the article about the family in Ohio being attacked that is not being considered a hate crime.

I should clarify that I haven't had to send nasty grams to them.
