    Today's rally against Islamo-fascism

In case you weren't aware of it today the United American Committee-along with New York Ice and several other organizations-took to Ground Zero in order to rally in support of this nation's borders, language and culture and protest against the invasion and subversion of this country by genocidal Islamists and their enablers.

Even though it was a diverse rally there were a number of speakers who highlighted the connection between the Islamification of this country and the relative porousness of our borders.

There are other shots of New York Ice and Campaign for a Secure Driver's License members if you look through the photo-essay.

The guy with the Border Patrol hat is a member of the former.

Yes, I watched all the pics

I am glad to see American's protest Isamofacism!

I enjoyed seeing the sign with the line across no to Sharia.

We do not accomodate them, they have to assimilate to us.

Everyone new that comes here has to BECOME SENSITIVE TO AMERICAN CULTURE, LANGUAGE AND PATRIOTISM!!

If you are against what we are all about, don't bother coming!!

    Three cheers to your protest!

We were discussing this at a post-rally gathering held at O'Hara's Pub.

We discussed the fact that there's a new public school chartered in the name of indoctrinating students into the Arabic language-named after Khalil Gibran.

A speaker from Virginia denounced a terror cell-filled with domestic converts to Islam and swearing allegiance to Sheikh Gilani, UBL's Pak. buddy-which is located not a few yards from his own offices.

The FBI and DOJ have done nothing to ameliorate the situation, or even address it.

It really is dispiriting when you see what you're fighting against sometimes.

Don't get discouraged. American's (We the people of this great nation) applaud all of your efforts. The tide is turning. They will have to listen and address the seriousness of the situation.

Once Boosh and company are out of office, I think the ball will really be moving in our direction from every direction.

We have to get a patriot in office. I don't want anyone in office pandering to Sharia lovers, OBL or China!

Every protest means a great deal. The Islamofacists feel enbolden when they see no protests.

Great work. I thank you as an American

    Technically, it's not.

The EO enacted during the Koch administration was never rescinded by any of his slimeball successors, but it was overturned by a federal magistrate.

Mayor Bloomberg was in the process of enforcing the law when he caved in to special interests who wanted to keep this city flooded with illegal aliens and sundry criminals-Hiram Montserrate was the chief opponent of the law in this case-so what we have now is basically a standoff.

    It's a long, complicated story.

Here are a few articles dealing with the problem we're facing:

    http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0328,s ... 387,1.html

    http://www.vdare.com/rubenstein/060218_nd.htm

Intro 326 was proposed in response to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Executive Order (EO) 34, which in May eliminated the city’s longstanding “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on immigration status. Bloomberg, at the time, said he was just responding to federal law.

Bloomberg responded to the council’s proposal on Sept. 17 by signing Executive Order 41, which effectively does what Intro 326 would have done. Bloomberg has been unpopular in immigrant communities recently, in part because of EO 34. EO 41 was widely seen as an effort to shore up support among immigrants.

The council will drop Intro 326 because EO 41 will make it unnecessary, according to Liu. Liu would not say that the mayor signed EO 41 because of pressure from the City Council, but the implication was clear.

“I’m happy the mayor has issued Executive Order 41,” Liu said. “In the absence of it, I believe we would have passed Intro 326.”

Immigrant rights groups praised the mayor’s action.

“[EO 41] rightly asserts that the only way to protect the health and safety of our city is to make sure that all New Yorkers feel safe interacting with government workers, be they police officers, firefighters, teachers, doctors and nurses or other city agency staff,” said Margie McHugh, executive director of the New York Immigration Coalition.

The bill also satisfies law enforcement, said McHugh, because it allows inquiries into immigration status when relevant for a criminal investigation.
