I don't think anyone is "pleased" to see anyone getting hit with a night stick. There is also a difference between a "beating" and a few submission strikes with a night stick. It was also pretty clear to me that these people had the opportunity to move away but were not following the officer's instructions.

If these women ignored the police in persisting in violence they got what they deserved in resisting arrest. No violence is not a solution to anything, but must be quelled when it occurs by either sex.

Being a member of the LAPD would be the pits. Can you imagine what all they see and deal with?
