    2006 Short Session: NC Immigration Enforcement Bills

    We are going to focus on the House bills in the final days of this effort.



    H 2692 Support Federal Immigration Legislation [H] Ref To Com On Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House on 05/25/2006

    This bill is signed by 32 members of the House and has bi-partisan support.

    This bill is a resolution saying the NC General Assembly supports Congresswoman Sue Myrick's call for an immigration court to be located in Charlotte since the nearest one is currently in Atlanta.

    Where do these taxes go? Do they end up in the General Funds or do they to another to fight illegal immigration?

    Prob the General Fund, but not 100% sure. Perhaps we should make the tax for EDUCATION?
