Chatham County ICE Resolution is Not going Away,We Need Help

I just received a call from the District of Columbia 202 228 2974. Senator Burr "supports " ICE programs in our state made that staement very clear to me. Sen Burr's office told me that in the Chatahm County ICE resolution though does not fall under his jurisdiction since it is a state issue and not Federal and advised me we all need to contact our state representatives to investigate how the ICE resolution was passed. It is well in there jurisdiction at the state level to launch a investigation. Please start calling or writing our state Representatives to intervene in this scam that our Commissioners pulled over on us, for listening to special interest groups and "not" the legal citizens of Chatahm County. I had wrote Sen Burr in January and he apologized for the delay in response to my letter

    Senator Bob Atwater http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/members/ ... UserID=143

    Representative Joe Hackney http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/members/ ... nUserID=45

For those that our not up to date of what happened to Chatham County North Carolina. our liberal Commissioners passed a ICE Resolution that prevents our county from contracting with any ICE agencies to control illegal immagration. And to make matters worse, we are now a known safe haven county fro illgal immagrants. The ICE Resolution is already made the Que Pasa Newspaper with a picture of our Sheriff Webster on the front page of No 287g program in Chatahm County

Oh RN I have been writing our state legislators from the beginning. Calling the AG and Governor's Offices.

Please inform them daily that you and other voters are watching their actions.

Go and read the HB312: Spousal Allowance increase. Wouldn't we all like even $10K when our spouse dies? But they are going to increase it to $20,000 for themselves.

Wake up our North Carolina RN.

I've spoken to both asst executive administrator in Sen Atwater and Sen Hackney office, both have promised a call back today. Will just wait and see. A version of the resolution was approved in April 08. The question has already come up whether their refusal to share it in August should be considered a violation of the states open meeting laws.

North Carolina laws should be E-Verify and use IMAGE in all workplaces.

Currently only state new hires are E-Verified.

How is NC handling I-9s in our State Employment Security Offices (unemployment offices)? They are sending illegals into the workplaces in North Carolina. Is this ok with your Representatives and Senators of our State?

Is the Federal Government going to come after Governor Perdue for helping employers to hire ILLEGALS in our state?

And everyone should be run through the 287g Program for ID check: even for a traffic violation in NC.

I agree 199%. I was calling my representatives daily when they were trying to throw out the E-verify program in the stimulus package. For the life of me, I can't believe our representatives that represent legal US citizens jobs got thrown out at the last minute maneuvering of special interest groups and big industry. So much fro representation sigh
