i agree with you. and since the system doesn't give you what you actually put in, it doesn't matter for most cases. again, outside of preventing furure cases like my mother's, i really don't care. really.

Something the government doesn't want you to know, is that your Social Security account is considered fully vested after 40 quarters of work. That means after 10 years of work, you legally don't have to contribute another dime to Social Security. Of course the government is hoping you will continue to dutifully pay into your account, so the system doesn't collapse, due to the government's robbing of the fund to pay for all it's pork barrel spending. If you've been working for more than 10 years total and don't believe it, write to your Social Security office and ask them if you are fully vested. Fully vested means your account is mature and you will get your money, no matter what, that is if you live to retirement age.

that is actually what i mean. so not giving social security to illegals is no big deal. most will work for at least another ten years.

your advice is good, but forgets about disability. a person at the age 35 will need more than 40 credits. and as a rule, they also take the avg of the last three years and that is what they give you. so for most people getting the avg of their late 20's/early 30's will probably not work for them. now, if you were making 200k and now making 20k, go for it. many poilce and firefighters after 9/11 retired because they had tons of overtime.

Of course the government is hoping you will continue to dutifully pay into your account, so the system doesn't collapse, due to the government's robbing of the fund to pay for all it's pork barrel spending.
this is why i don't believe that immigrants will save the system at least in the short-term.

i think we can now put to rest this social security thing. outside of certain issues and situations, is an non-issue. is not like if you give amnesty and people work for ten years they will get more per month.

one of the reasons i am here is to not just tell the other side. i am also here to show all sides. that immigration is more than immigration. that even if you deport 12 million peopel tomorrow, the a situation won't go away. why? is has nothing to do with immigration. nor will it get better or worse if you give amnesty.

sometimes illegals are 1% of the problem. so deporting them will not solve anything. and if the aim is to actually solve the problem (and not just to make illegals go away), you have a bigger fight on your hands.

social security is just of dozens of issues that related with immigration. we just put it aside rigth here. people who continue this are either misinformed or disingenuous.

no more will i teach you rigth now. TEAM USA plays tomorrow and i have to take care of other things. we can still win and not go to the second round. we must win and hope that italy win or that the czechs win big.

    GO TEAM USA!!!
