Poll: What do you think is effective immigration enforcement?
December 21st, 2007 · Post a Comment · posted by ataxin
The Register ran a three-part series about the deportation of illegal immigrants who have been convicted of crimes - and who are largely picked up in checks in county and city jail facilities.
Now that you’ve had a chance to read it (and see a video story, which you can get by clicking here), The Issue wanted to get a sense of what readers think are effective tools for immigration enforcement.
Hence, our new poll:
After reading this week’s series on criminal deportations, what do you think is the most effective way to stop illegal immigration across the U.S.-Mexico border?
• deport undocumented immigrants
• 0
• build a fence
• 0
• more worksite enforcement
• 1
• put diplomatic pressure on Mexico to create more jobs at home
• 0
• there is no effective way to stop migration
• 0
