$22 million loan will help with Tijuana water and sewage

TIJUANA — A $22 million loan from the North American Development Bank will help fund water delivery and sewage treatment for thousands of residents in Rosarito Beach and Tijuana, the San Antonio-based bank announced yesterday.
The funding will be used in the first phase of a $37.75 million project that includes the construction of two large water storage tanks. Under the project, some 30,000 residents will receive water service, and 46,300 will receive sewer service. The funding will also be used to upgrade a Rosarito Beach water treatment plant.
The benefits will be “to the newest, poorest zones,â€NO AMNESTY
