[Watch] Dallas Talk Show Host Loses It, Storms Off Set over Michael Sam’s Kiss

Amy Kushnir, a co-host of the Dallas morning show The Broadcast, stomped off-set Wednesday morning amidst discussion of Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend during the NFL draft last weekend.
“When parents do not have a choice about whether or not they want their children to see this, it is wrong,” Kushnir said. “He has every right to do what he wants, I just don’t want it in my face.”
The other hosts pressed back, and almost got Kushnir to say that she didn’t want any kissing filmed or broadcast anywhere. She then amended her argument to say that ESPN was being intentionally salacious. “ESPN would not have aired any of it had he been kissing his wife,” Kushnir said (very wrong). “This was an opportunity to make news.”
When the other hosts continued to rebut her points, she finally stormed offset, declaring, “I’m going to Midland!” (That would be a five-hour drive.)
Co-host Suzie Humphreys accused the other women of impeding Kushnir’s “her right to say what she means without being slambasted.” Because if there’s one place you can’t air your reactionary views, it’s on your own talk show in Texas.

UPDATE: Dallas TV Show Host Amy Kushnir Responds to Story About Her Being Bullied by Courtney Kerr Over the NFL’s Gay Kiss

Yesterday we published video showing intolerant TV host Courtney Kerr referring to those who found Michael Sam’s gay kiss distasteful as racist. Kerr also bullied co-host Amy Kushner, talking over her and painting her as a bigot instead of giving her a chance to discuss her own views. Click here to watch the original segment.
The show, Broadcast TV, used yesterday’s time to follow-up on the situation and each co-host commented on what happened. Courtney Kerr used her time to indirectly insinuate there was something wrong with Kushner because of her different views. Kushner explained she felt she wasn’t given the ability to explain her position and express her opinion without being talked over and bullied.
