Ford seeks patent to repossess a car remotely — by locking owners out of their cars & cutting off AC & forcing car’s audio system to ’emit an incessant & unpleasant sound’


Ford Motor Co. has applied for a patent to make remote car repossessions nearly seamless for lenders — and deeply unpleasant for car owners in default, who may endure an “incessant” sound, sweat out disabled air conditioning, and eventually get locked out of their car. ... The patent described steps to trigger if an owner ignores overdue notices, starting with those meant to cause “an additional level of discomfort to a driver and occupants of the vehicle” by disabling nice-to-have features like air conditioner, remote key fobs, and the automated door lock-and-unlock system. Another step described in the remote-repo patent application included prompting the car’s audio system to “emit an incessant and unpleasant sound every time the owner is present in the vehicle.” The repo system would control various ways “to make the sound unpleasant,” and ensure that the owner could not “turn it off without first making contact with the lending institution.”

If it worked with COVID restrictions, why wouldn't governments try again with climate issues?, asks Climate Depot's Marc Morano.
Speaking about how a large percentage of the population — especially those in positions of government authority — complied with seemingly ridiculous pandemic requests like double masking, Marc Morano told Ezra: "If you don't support the UN Paris agreement now or the green New Deal the message of this study is you are a you are a killer with guns. Now if you don't support climate mitigation measures you're killing 8 000 people because of the increase in gun violence.
It's the same thing they're doing with COVID and climate. They're now saying that unchecked climate change leads to more viruses, so if you don't support a WHO pandemic treaty for example, you are now a grandma killer because of that. So what this is doing is its creating a template, a narrative among that 40% — and here's the key, this is the part that kills us, Ezra. These aren't an inconsequential 40%, these are generally the academic elite ruling class and the people in bureaucracy, governments, cabinets, prime ministers, presidents, their staff and, sadly, most of our elected officials. Deranged Politico: ‘Block the Sun, Save the Planet?’Climate Depot founder Marc Morano ripped Politico’s climate propaganda apart in comments to MRC Business. “Be afraid. Be very afraid of climate fear promoting academics seeking attention and funding in a vain attempt to control the earth's climate with untested geoengineering,” Morano said. “Our message should be simple: Leave the Sun alone. We don't need your bizarre experiments to save us from the alleged threat of 'climate change.’”
Morano even called out the sordid past of one of the geoengineering enthusiasts, former NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies Director James Hansen, which Skibbell conveniently left out when she promoted him and other signatories to an open letter advocating for blocking the sun.
“Hansen became infamous for getting arrested multiple times for climate activism and he promoted a book suggesting ridding the world of industrial civilization,” Morano stated.

Well, now we know that if East Palestine had told Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg from day one they thought this was a climate change train derailment, they would have got FEMA money, they would have got visits from Biden, and Mayor Pete would have been there the first day. That's where I would tell you the residents failed. They should have linked this to climate change like other past train derailments. And they could have got instant help because then it would have been seen by the Biden admin as: 'Hey, this is in our agenda.' The United States witnessed its largest bank failure since 2008 on Friday, as Silicon Valley Bank ran out of cash and was taken over by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
True to its name, the bank was central to the technology ecosystem and Northern California economy; it claimed half of the country’s venture-backed startups as customers.
But what hasn’t received as much attention is that Silicon Valley Bank was particularly important to the climate-tech sector.
“Silicon Valley Bank was an integral part of the early-stage climate tech community and I hope that they survive in some form to continue that role,” Gabriel Kra, a managing director at Prelude Ventures, told me on Friday.
Silicon Valley Bank served as a banker to dozens of climate and energy-tech companies, holding their cash on a day-to-day basis and issuing billions of dollars in loans in support of the type of large-scale, one-off projects that are essential to the sector.
The bank’s website bragged about its particular support of solar, hydrogen, and energy-storage companies. It provided more than half a billion dollars in revolving credit to Sunrun, the country’s largest residential solar company. (Sunrun did not respond to a request for comment by press time.)
And more than 60 percent of community solar financing nationwide involved SVB in some capacity, the bank claimed on its website.
The bank also published influential annual reports on the climate-tech sector, and it sponsored events for climate VCs and startups — including one at the Lake Tahoe Ritz Carlton as recently as last week.
“They were careful, thoughtful, and willing lenders to early-stage companies,” Kra said. “As a bank, they were focused on that segment of the ecosystem and they understood the risks they were taking more than a bank that wasn’t focused.”
