A 6-year-old girl was shot in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood Sunday night, police said.

The child, identified by relatives as India Tinker, was getting out of a car near West 123rd Street and South Perry Avenue around 9:10 p.m. Sunday, when police said a group of men pulled up and started shooting. She was struck in the arm.

Police said India showed up at Roseland Community Hospital, where she was listed in good condition. She was later transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

India is the 26th child under age 13 to be shot in Chicago in 2016.
