There’s an old adage that says knowledge is power. Well, if it is true that one is empowered by knowledge, then it is also true that one is weakened by ignorance. We spend our entire lives consuming and evaluating the information placed before our eyes and ears. And in conjunction with all available facts, we use our best judgment to make decisions that affect ourselves, our spouses, our children, our communities and our country.

With improper or incomplete information, we end up making hastily-made decisions that have unintended and far-reaching consequences.

Before the Internet, it was nearly impossible for the average citizen to keep track of the inner workings of our government. The news media was the only entity keeping the government honest; exposing waste, fraud and corruption. But the insidious bias that has infected their so-called “reportingâ€
