It is actually a EU Company. The Globalists are pushing that to undermine our standard of living so the masses will gladly accept the NAU as better.

It is a complete farce. The US has a case agaisnt Airbus because it is heavly subsidized by the EU. But yet they determine it is ok for them to have a government contract.

This isn't the first time YOUR government has taken your tax dollars to a foreign country and helped destroy American industry!

Maybe some of these Air Force officials who gave the deal to Airbus are looking at good jobs with these outfits after they retire with their 20 or 30 year government pensions? I cannot say for sure....just a thought.

The whole thing shows what is so wrong this country.

During WW2 the US produced 200,000 + aircraft and now they want to go to France which totally snubbed us in Iraq? (whether you like the war or not notwithstanding). 44,000 jobs verses only 22,000 with Airbus? Your tax dollars going to France? How much in taxes would US Boeing pay BACK to the government and how much would Airbus of France pay in taxes to Washington?

There is no excuse for this folks!! COMPLAIN to your congress people!

    Faye, and others... :

Just a note about Sen. Murray's efforts in this context:

While I agree with her actions on the tanker situation, please do remember - and don't be shy in spreading the word - that her ABI (Americans for Better Immigration [part of NumbersUSA]) grade is "F". She has been a constant supporter of amnesty for IAs and is no friend to our cause

Not only does she have a bad overall record on the subject, most recently, it has gotten worse.

Another with clay feet. You know, I'm not surprised by this since Bush was over there signing things not long ago. We were busy with something else. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at what he'd done, but I remember thinking, Uh oh.

Not only now our military can no longer leave their children at home in a "major United States city" and expect them to be safe or a least as safe as the parents in a "combat zone"!

Now they can return home and find that "our" President and congress and their elitist contributors have exported their defense jobs to "france"!

Of course Boeing has in the past agreed to build plants in Asia to train their workers to do American Jobs.

It will NOT be long until we will be unable to manufacture any products.

Yes, Boeing is doing a lot of outsourcing too but again, 44,000 jobs in the US if it, the contract, goes to Boeing and 22,000 with Airbus. So call it "A European Economic Stimulus package", if you will, courtesy of the US government.

So the politicans of Alabama will fight with the politicians of Washington and Oklahoma over this and you wonder what is so wrong with Washington D.C. when nobody cares about anything but their own #$@# hide!

I was upset to see that Senator Jeff Sessions thought this was good deal. It might provide jobs for 2,000 Alabama people, BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER AMERICANS LEFT WITHOUT JOBS BECAUSE OF THIS DEAL?

America cant afford to have foreign countries working on defense contracts. The security risks are enormous, and it takes away AMERICAN JOBS.
