I tend to think that his predictive side to his argument has some real potential. His solution side of the article makes him look and sound very much like a shill. A classic deceptive twist?

The politicians are not going to change overnight just because of an election. The rhetoric will fly, much posturing till 2012, and the public will be left to tea party it up and throw more traitors and bums to the curb. JMO

There needs to be some governmental lead in industrial job creation. But since few Republicans seem to see which way the wind is blowing (pun intended) in technological advance, I don't expect any tremendous steps from them. However, with a relative balance in Congress, maybe there will be some progress. Charles Grassley (R-IA) is one republican who firmly believes in exploring new, alternative energy sources. Our Republican candidate for governor out here is also very much into green power.

Only with matching R&D funding or R&D tax credits, and import tariffs to level the playing field. Otherwise government is totally inept and will just make things worse.
