The NASDAQ soared because of the IT companies. But then we have to look at the reasons for their undelying success -- like they have electricity to plug in their computers.
No, I would not invest in high flyers, but I would invest in the basics, the power grid to keep these companies like Microsoft, Cisco and Apple up and running and water to keep the workers hydrated.
What Buffett is saying is that we need to get back to basics in regards to investing. Illegals and their anchor babies also need water and electricity.
Increased population creates increased demand on our resources, and an investor should consider that before jumping into an investment.

This propaganda piece is claiming the US will be to of the world economically because of immigration and high birthrates in the Hispanic population.

It does not say that directly, but the only reason America's population is growing rapidly is because of immigration and the Hispanic birthrate and while most second and third generation Hispanics have lowered their birthrates, the rate is off the charts with the illegal aliens.

It will take big changes for the economy to improve.

First people are going to have to come to the realization that we have stealth socialism in a big way in this country. We will be forced to continue to support socialism until we regain control of our currency.

Take for instance Obama's Health Care Plan. From what I'm reading it is not his plan but the United Nations health care plan.

We have lost control of our government and our government has been printing up money for things like pushing this health care plan through.

Look at this chart that shows the value of our currency falling. To create such a drop the government would have had to counterfeit the entire money supply between ten and seventeen times since the seventies.



No matter how much money we might have to create things the way we want, if they want them different they can print and push and print and push us until they get things their way.

So true, stokeybob. But we can fix this and the sooner we get started the sooner we'll be on our way to a better stronger fitter land of dreams.
