In the third year of the worst recession since the 1930’s many States totter on the brink of catastrophe, after generations of imprudent management. Ahead lie even greater challenges, as employees cash in on their insanely generous pensions.

    Illegal Aliens

And one of the reasons is because we provide financial support to illegal aliens. We must deport all illegal aliens. They do not belong here. They cost us money.

What is amazing to me is that most of the states in the worst condition have done nothing to reign in debt. Moreover, if states such as California and Florida took advantage of their natural resources (particularly off-shore oil), they could bring their debt under control if combined with sensible budget reductions. I believe the new Republican governor of Virginia intends to do exactly that.

The problem is that most of these states are in trouble because the political power of those running the states has been generated by buying votes with socialist programs. The fact that the states cannot afford these programs appears to be irrelevant. Most of these states also tolerate "sanctuary cities" and this adds to the debt they are running up.

So, will these states cut services? Not much. Eliminate sanctuary cities? Not likely. Exploit available natural resources? Not in my lifetime. What will they do? Follow the Obama plan. Bailout, bailout, bailout. And forfeit states rights in the process.
