AWESOME: 9 year old New Yorker uses gun to fight off home invaders

Ah, New York City, the magical land where guns are illegal and because of that, there’s no crime… Oh wait…

When a 9 year old Brooklyn resident’s home was invaded, he fought back, causing one of of the intruders to drop his gun. The boy picked up the gun and chased the home invaders away.

The robbers entered the house on 80th Street in Canarsie at about 6 p.m. and ordered two teenagers inside to get on the floor, according to police.
The only other person in the house was the boy, who was upstairs.

When one of the suspects ran upstairs and tried to get into a second-floor bedroom, the 9-year-old boy slammed the door on the suspect’s arm, causing him to drop the gun.

The boy picked up the gun and fired it at the suspect, according to police. No one was hit, but the home invaders quickly ran out of the house.

Had it not been for this boy’s bravery, he and his siblings could have been killed. They were defenseless in their home while the criminals could care less about New York’s gun laws. This is a perfect example of why gun control laws are so stupid.

The fate of these three young people could have turned out so differently had the 9 year old not been able to acquire the gun to defend himself. New York’s restrictive control does little but give criminals free access to homes.
