Obama and Romney Are Both Ignoring the Real Issue with Killing Bin Laden

The anniversary of Bin Laden’s death is big news.

Obama is bragging about how he whacked Bin Laden, accusing Romney of being too soft to take out bad guys.

Romney supporters accuse Obama of “spiking the football” and inappropriately showing off to score political points.

Both sides are missing the big picture. Specifically, we noted last year:

I’m as happy as the next red-blooded American that Bin Laden is dead.

For more than a decade, the government has said that Bin Laden is the world’s worst terrorist, a terrorist kingpin, the head of the worst terrorist group in the world.
But if we captured and interrogated him, he could have spilled a lot of beans which would help prevent future terrorist attacks.

Right?

But as the Atlantic reports today:

There’s one option the administration appears to have never seriously considered: taking bin Laden alive.

The administration had made clear to the military’s clandestine Joint Special Operations Command that it wanted bin Laden dead, according to a senior U.S. official with knowledge of the discussions. A high-ranking military officer briefed on the assault said the SEALs knew their mission was not to take him alive. ***

And Gareth Porter reported yesterday that the U.S. didn’t even consider capturing Bin Laden as part of its Afghanistan war strategy:

The absence of any military planning to catch bin Laden was a function of Bush’s national security team, led by Vice-President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld, which had firmly opposed any military operation in Afghanistan that would have had any possibility of catching bin Laden and his lieutenants.Rumsfeld and the second-ranking official at the Pentagon, Paul Wolfowitz, had dismissed CIA warnings of an al Qaeda terrorist attack against the United States in the summer of 2001, and even after 9/11 had continued to question the CIA’s conclusion that bin Laden and al Qaeda were behind the attacks.

Cheney and Rumsfeld were determined not to allow a focus on bin Laden to interfere with their plan for a U.S. invasion of Iraq to overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime.

Even after Bush decided in favour of an Afghan campaign, CENTCOM commander Tommy Franks, who was responsible for the war in Afghanistan, was not directed to have a plan for bin Laden’s capture or to block his escape to Pakistan. [Background.]

We tortured a bunch of innocent farmers, children, grandparents and reporters … supposedly to get information about Bin Laden. But it doesn’t seem like the government was very interested in actually interrogating Bin Laden himself.

Some US military intelligence officials also lament that bin Laden was not taken alive – and privately wonder whether concerns about the political “headaches” involved in trying detainees may have led the Obama administration to favor killing rather than capturing the architect of 9/11.

The opportunity to glean valuable intelligence from the leader of a powerful terrorist organization was lost, says retired Army Col. Stuart Herrington, a military intelligence specialist who interrogated generals under the command of Saddam Hussein and evaluated US detention operations at Guantánamo.

It is a misconception that ideologues don’t talk, he says. “The opinion that, ‘Oh, he’s such a fanatic, he won’t tell us anything’ – that’s uninformed blathering by people who don’t understand the business,” Herrington adds.

The Christian Science Monitor article also confirms that torture doesn’t work to produce actionable intelligence, and points out that even Bin Laden could have been made to talk if other interrogation techniques were used.

As we noted in 2008, Bin Laden was useful to the U.S. as a prop in the so-called war on terror:

This is no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. The BBC produced a documentary called The Power of Nightmares in 2005 that showed that politicians were greatly exaggerating the terrorist threat for political ends.

Many people claim that Bin Laden died a long time ago. According to Israeli intelligence, Pakistani intelligence, and other sources, Bin Laden is dead.

So if Bin Laden is alive, American leaders have to explain why they have repeatedly chosen not to pull the trigger.

And if he is dead, they have to explain why they are claiming that he’s alive and authenticating his videos.

Former CIA Agent Claims Americans Did Not Kill bin Laden

Osama bin Laden died a natural death nearly 5 years before it was announced that he was eliminated by the American commandos. This sensational statement was made by a Turkish politician, and a former U.S. intelligence agent. In an interview with Russia’s Channel One, he said that the Americans simply found and opened the tomb of the leader of al-Qaeda.

The journalists of Channel One first met this man in 2008. At the time he was featured in the documentary “Plan Caucasus,” talking about the attempts of the western intelligence services in the early 1990′s to separate the Northern Caucasus and, in particular, Chechnya from Russia. Chechen by nationality, Berkan Yashar is now a Turkish politician, but in those years he was one of the ideologists of Johar Dudayev. He asked for a meeting, promising to tell the truth about the death of Osama bin Laden whom he met in the early 90-ies in Chechnya.

“In September of 1992 I was in Chechnya, that’s when I first met the man whose name was Bin Laden. This meeting took place in a two-story house in the city of Grozny; on the top floor was a family of Gamsakhurdia, the Georgian president, who then was kicked out of his country. We met on the bottom floor; Osama lived in the same building, “said Berkan Yashar. Berkan said he did not know why bin Laden visited while in Grozny, and said only one thing about his meetings: “Just wanted to talk.”

However, according to Channel One, in those years the former employee of Radio Liberty Berkan Yashar already had an operational name Abubakar, given to him by the CIA. According to Berkan, after that trip Chechen nationals appeared in Osama bin Laden’s circle. Berkan Yashar emphasized that they did not participate “directly in the terror bombings.” “They protected bin Laden, it was his choice because he trusted them entirely, and knew that they would never betray,” said Yashar. According to Yashar he was not the only one who knew about it, but the Russian security services and the CIA were aware of this as well.

Answering the question whether he believed that the Americans killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, Berkan Yashar answered: “Even if the entire world believed I could not possibly believe it.” “I personally know the Chechens who protected him, they are Sami, Mahmood, and Ayub, and they were with him until the very end. I remember that day very well, there were three sixes in it: 26 June 2006. These people, as well as two others from London and two Americans, all seven of them, saw him dead. He was very ill, he was skin and bones, very thin, and they washed him and buried him,” said Berkan Yashar.

Yashar stressed that although the two American Muslims and two British Muslims the guards of bin Laden and saw him dead, they did not participate in the funerals. “Only three Chechens buried him, according to his will,” said Yashar. Bin Laden was buried, according to Yashar, in the mountains on the Pakistan-Afghan border. “There was no assault,” said Yashar. “I know the American operations from the inside: they find the grave, dig out bin Laden and tell everyone about this. They need to show how technologically the security services worked, how each step was controlled, and then present it as a great victory to show that taxpayers are not paying taxes for nothing. ”

Berkan now blames himself for the fact that the Chechens from the protection of bin Laden, “the terrorist number one” are no longer alive after the U.S. intelligence services began to tap Berkan’s telephone conversations. He said he was the first one who announced the date of death of bin Laden. “I was the first one who announced the date of his death in November of 2008 at a conference in Washington, not naming any names, and it looks like it was when the Americans began to track my contacts,” he said.
The last security guard Berkan saw Sami, who, according to him, a few days before bin Laden was declared killed, was kidnapped by the U.S. intelligence agencies. According to Berkan, most likely, it was him who disclosed to them the exact place of burial in the mountains on the Pakistan-Afghan border.

In any case, the last call from Sami was from Pakistan. Berkan explained why he informed the journalists of Channel One: he feared for his life. According to him, only wide publicity around the world can protect him from the CIA. However, just in case, the Turkish secret services, according to him, provided him with guards and weapons

A former agent of the CIA has revealed that al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has died of natural causes five years before the US announced his death.

In an interview with Russia’s Channel One, Berkan Yashar, who is also a Turkish politician, said the US has not killed the al-Qaeda leader.

“In September of 1992, I was in Chechnya, that’s when I first met the man whose name was Bin Laden. This meeting took place in a two-story house in the city of Grozny; on the top floor was a family of Gamsakhurdia, the Georgian president, who then was kicked out of his country. We met on the bottom floor; Osama lived in the same building,” Yashar said.

According to the former CIA agent, he personally knew Bin Laden’s three Chechen bodyguards, who had protected him until his death and witnessed his death on June 26, 2006.

“Even if the entire world believed, I could not possibly believe it,” Yashar said. “I personally know the Chechens who protected him, they are Sami, Mahmood, and Ayub, and they were with him until the very end.”

“Only three Chechens buried him, according to his will” in the mountains on the Pakistan-Afghan border, he said.

Yashar added that the CIA abducted one of the bodyguards, Sami, before the announced killing of Bin Laden last year.

He says the bodyguard disclosed to the US the exact place of burial in the mountains.

“There was no assault. I know the American operations from the inside: they find the grave, dig out bin Laden and tell everyone about this. They need to show how technologically the security services worked, how each step was controlled, and then present it as a great victory to show that taxpayers are not paying taxes for nothing,” he said.

Washington announced on May 2, 2011 that Bin Laden was killed by US forces in his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

The lack of transparency over bin Laden's death has cast further doubt over the announcement.

MSM: How the Top News Story Never Happened and the Real Top Story Was Never Reported

It never really happened, the Top News Story of 2011. Seems that would annihilate any residual credibility mainstream corporate media (CorpoMedia) hadn’t washed off...but, perhaps too many Americans are determined to swallow, even digest, the News.

News consumers apparently believe: There has to be some kind of law. Especially about, like, TV news. You can’t just tell big fat whopping lies to kind of like control people, or something. You know, there must be a law. What about the Constitution?

News is a product concocted not to inform, but conform. News is perception management lorded over by a few monster corporations, in conjunction with the Federal Government, Inc. Fox News is a leader in nano credibility, but their record is not clean. They actually broadcast some dirty truth back in 2001, day after Christmas. The headline on their website offered, Report: Bin Laden Already Dead.

Fox references a source who said, after claiming to have seen bin Laden’s face before burial, “He looked pale...but calm, relaxed and confident.”

Other sources essentially said, in a variety of other ways, that bin Laden looked dead.

Indeed, in his final months, closing out 2001, he looked increasingly like a patient requiring frequent dialysis; medical professionals refer to it as looking “frosted”.
Virtually all CorpoMedia spigots gushed about bin Laden dying when he died, even pretty much how, and why, he died.

But, lo, News tells us he pulled out of it, regaining robust health and even reversing the aging process for ten years, only to have his fate sealed by a team of Navy SEALs. Who could forget the rapture, shock and awe...the total engagement of the president and members of his cabinet as they watched a live video feed of “the killing of bin Laden”? Hillary Clinton was so engaged her hand got stuck to her mouth.

Whoops.... The White House was forced to admit there was no live video feed. So what were they watching in that situation room, American Idol?

Ultimately, most every aspect of their “We got bin Laden!” production has been repeatedly altered, re-altered, washed, hung out to dry. The infamous "death photos" were washed and buried, too phony even for the spin cycle.

Whatever was sealed by those Navy SEALs had nothing to do with bin Laden’s fate. Considering the credibility of CorpoMedia News, it should not be ruled out that, when the political table is set just right, “killing of bin Laden” will be served up, again.

Consider events that did occur in 2011.

Fukushima...earthquake and tsunami triggering a spewing, ticking time bomb of radiation with immeasurable death potential. “Spent” fuel rod assemblies are so intensely radioactive that if you get close enough to see individual rods, and are not shielded, you are dead. Keeping spent fuel rods from catching fire and belching massive radiation plumes is costly; the severely-damaged reactor number 4 building contains nearly 2,000 of them in a pool teetering 100 feet high. Many thousands of them are stored at Fukushima in pools somewhat less precarious. Dry cask storage is safer. Problem is, safety tends to pinch profits.

Protecting vast profits of the nuclear energy industry is more important than protecting the public from deadly radiation. When it does come to protecting the public...the situation at Fukushima is so dire that, for their own good, the public must be protected from the truth.

Melted reactor cores are another part of the megadeath lurking at Fukushima. But more radiation sweeping death across the entire Northern hemisphere...just not as Newsworthy as the “killing” of someone already dead ten years.

That’s the way the News goes.

“Occupy Wall Street”...the Occupy movement, another Top Story that CorpoMedia News creatures voted against as Number One. “Lazy hippies, bad hygiene, troublemakers primed for violence, no work ethic, no leadership, no message...move along, nothing to see here....”

Perhaps the most important aspect of News is how clearly it demonstrates what utter contempt American “leaders” have for American followers. News creatures obviously don’t even care about propaganda they have employed in the past, it’s done and gone. Perception managers know that every day is a new (News) day.

And they know that even if the Top News Story of 2012 is about how Obama rode the Top News Story of 2011 to victory in November (he spiked! bin Laden), the overwhelming reaction will likely be a big, hearty, American...shrug.

On May 1st, 2011 the corporate controlled media, in conjunction with intelligence operatives planted within the major corporate news stations, and President Obama launched a large scale media mind control operation in announcing the “death” of infamous intelligence agent Osama Bin Laden.

The operation started with dozens of TV stations cutting to the “breaking news” that the U.S. had killed Osama Bin Laden.

News anchors, using noted mind control techniques, then begin to repeatedly chant:

“Bin Laden is dead, Bin Laden is Dead, Osama Bin Laden has been killed, Osama Bin Laden has been killed!”

The mind control chanting was so over the top that in the days after even mainstream columnists noted them while the alternative media correctly identified the repetitive chanting as a direct form of mind control.

Literally within an hour to two hours after the announcement that Bin Laden had been killed, a supposed organic crowd gathered outside the White House in celebration.

While not fully confirmed, many have speculated that some of the more vocal members of the crowd outside the White House were actually government plants and others have connected the crowds with the ending of a Washington Capitols NHL Hockey game.

The psyop begin to unfold after a death photo published by multiple mainstream news outlets was proven to be absolutely 100% fake, having originated from a post published on an Arabic forum in 2010.

In full damage control, the corporate media then begin to blame conspiracy theorists for their fake photo.



Later the next day the major cable news channels begin to report the laughable claim that Osama’s body was buried at sea only 12 hours after his death.

Osama bin Laden, the long-time figurehead of the al Qaeda terrorist network, has been buried at sea after being killed in a U.S. raid in Pakistan.
Pentagon officials said Monday that bin Laden’s body was be handled in accordance with Muslim traditions, which include strict rules on burial taking place within 24 hours after death.

Sources confirmed to CBS News national security correspondent David Martin that his body was released into the sea from a U.S. Navy vessel on Monday, likely into the Indian Ocean.

Witnesses to the raid also publicly confirmed that the raid simply did not happen the way that the corporate media had reported over and over again.
One witness in particular cast much doubt on the validity of the entire raid when he confirmed that it was highly unlikely that Bin Laden was ever in the area.

Of course, all of the corporate media shenanigans that occurred on the night of the initial death announcement pale in comparison to the fact that a plethora of evidence, most of it completely ignored by the controlled corporate press, indicated that Bin Laden had died years before.

Some of the most damning evidence, fueled by documented kidney problems and reported by the mainstream in bits and pieces but never put together in a real journalistic report, includes enough evidence to at the very least run an unbiased news report detailing the facts.


Lets take a look at the facts that the corporate controlled media ignored:

• July of 2001, Osama Bin Laden was flown to the American Hospital in Dubai for kidney treatment with the help of the CIA.

• On the eve of the 9/11 attacks Osama Bin Laden apparently stayed in a Pakistani military hospital under the protection of Pakistan’s ISI.

• October 2001, Bin Laden appeared in a videotape looking visibly pale and sickly.

• In December of 2001, another videotape was released, showing a seriously ill Bin Laden seemingly unable to move his left arm.

• December 26, 2001, Fox News reported on story that the Taliban had officially declared Bin Laden dead.

• July 17, 2002, FBI head of counterterrorism Dale Watson, said “I personally think he [Bin Laden] is probably not with us anymore.”

• October 2002, Afghan President Hamid Karzai told CNN that “I would come to believe that he probably is dead.”

• November 2005, Senator Harry Reid claimed that Osama may have died in the Pakistani earthquake of October that year.

• In September 2006, French intelligence leaked a report suggesting Osama had died in Pakistan.

• On November 2, 2007, former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto told Al-Jazeera’s David Frost that Omar Sheikh had killed Osama Bin Laden.

• March 2009, former US foreign intelligence officer and professor of international relations at Boston University Angelo Codevilla stated: “All the evidence suggests Elvis Presley is more alive today than Osama Bin Laden.”

• In May 2009, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari confirmed that his “counterparts in the American intelligence agencies” hadn’t heard anything from Bin Laden in seven years and confirmed “I don’t think he’s alive.”

In 2007, Benazir Bhutto appeared on national TV and made the startling announcement that Osama Bin Laden had been killed.


Sadly she was later assassinated, likely for her refusal to promote CIA/Mossad funded propaganda.




This media mind control operation was again confirmed to be nothing more than a psychological operation after literal Hollywood film producers were given access to classified documents in order to create a government propaganda film of the whole raid which of course was staged or altered in the first place.



As we move forward into the Orwellian future, planned by the global elite and supported by the corporate media, it is important to look back at massive mind control operations in order to stop and at the very least identify future media manipulated events.
