We have a trillion dollar deficit. 131,000 Americans lost their jobs last month. And the Obama Administration and the Democratic Congress are spending money to build mosques.

Tax Money for Mosques

Congressman Etheridge has been spending taxpayers’ money to pay for mass mailings to inform voters about some of the ways he has been spending their money – like on Obama’s failed ‘Stimulus Plan,’ ObamaCare and Wall Street bailouts. But there are some other examples of government spending the Congressman carefully left out of his newsletter.

You may have heard about the long running court battle to remove a cross from a war Memorial near San Diego. Because, some people say, it violates the doctrine of the separation of church and state. But have you heard anything about our tax dollars being spent to build Mosques in the Middle East and Africa?
Here in the United States the government doesn’t fund construction of churches or synagogues, but The Washington Times reports the State Department is using foreign aid money for mosque building in Muslim countries. For example:

“In April, U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania Alfonso E. Lenhardt helped cut the ribbon at the 12th-century Kizimkazi Mosque which was refurbished with United States funding.
The U.S. government also helped renovate the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque in Cairo. According to the Washington Times report, the mosque’s namesake was a Muslim conqueror of Christian Egypt. “For those who think the Ground Zero Mosque is an example of ‘Muslim triumphalism’ glorifying conquest, the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque is an example of such a monument – and one paid for with U.S. taxpayer funds.â€
