Thread: Borwn Berets Racist? DD Racist? No way.

I saw the locked thread that accuses DD of being racist but I can't see any evidence of that. I do see where you guys here are using her open mindedness as a reason to get back at her for not liking SOS. I have seen the videos they produced that make fun of Latinos and where they are indeed pointing out the activities of the illegal and at the same time degrading and talking down to them and laughiing. I know you have your point, but to drag DD's name through the mud simply to try and be the top dog in an argument is rather foolish.

Yes I am a Latino Republican. I am a member of a large demographic that is growing in number and you are no different when you are referred to as a Religious right, or Black vote or White male vote. How about the soccer mom's? You guys are really being childish in this matter. To take an issue and personalize it is truly the wrong way to handle things.

I debate Chicano Activist as I am one myself. I am a Pro-American anti-Communist Conservative Chicano that understands that to be a Chicano first you have to be an American as we are unique to this country and you have to be beholden to the Constitution of the United States of America. The constitution is what breaths life into all the rights and freedoms we have today.

All these groups like the minutemen have every right to protest the illegal entry to this country and have every right to help the border patrol. We also have a right to push for economic open borders and a Guest Worker Program by supporting the President.

Did anyone forget to mention that DD also supports the RNHA? Republican National Hispanic Assembly? This organization was founded by George Bush many years ago. Did anyone mention that she is a member of the G.I. Forum? This organization (no matter how much you hate the fact that Latinos have organizations) has helped many Latino Veterans get the care and money they needed and deserve to survive. Let’s not even forget that she served and protected the constitution in the Air Force as an MP. She has her own business and knows about the economy and free market more than most people.

Let’s also remember that she has a family and knows what working and raising a family is all about. Oh and yes that is her in the pic. I can tell you she is that pretty. Her husband can probably vouch for that very well.


My goal as a Conservative Chicano is to counter the Revolutionary BS that has been told to my people for too many years and let the young Chicanos know that it is good to be proud of these United States of America. That it is a great thing to serve in the Military and go to college. To be part of this political culture and keep their own culture alive. If you have never been Chicano then you can never understand what we encounter in our lives and you should not speak from a place you know nothing about.

As a young boy I remember seeing the Brown Berets protecting us from racist. Today they have a misleading about the place the Chicanos movement should be going. They have a misguided leadership that is not telling the entire truth about what they should be protecting against. There are wolves in sheep’s clothing in the Latino community today and that I will admit. As you should about the hard right. That is my soul purpose today and I am swimming in a river in the middle of a storm. Between the SOS that are not all there on the issue and the Brown Berets that are being used by the far left I find it hard to navigate between the two. I make no attempt to change a hardliner's mind, my goal is to reach the savable.

You guys here make some good points but also make some statements that I would be guarded about. Waving the American Flag does not make you a Patriot and being a Patriot does not always mean you are right. Hitler was a Patriot of Germany and the President of Iran is now a Patriot. I am by no means perfect but I do know DD is a true Patriot that is true to the Constitution.

The Federal Government is responsible for protecting this Nation as per the Constitution, we the people are responsible for petitioning our government and the end result is based on who does that the best. Our reality is what we make it. I agree that the borders should be controlled and secured also I do think we need a Guest Worker Program. There is a way to have both.

I read your post, and I've noted a few contradictions....the most blatant being that you seem to think Hispanics can embrace the American culture while at the same time "...keeping their culture alive".

Immigrating to America means cutting off all ties with your mother country and assimilating into the American culture. You speak English, you salute the American Flag, and you respect our values. Period.

Also, DD was an obnoxious troll who posted here while she was drunk. I have no respect for her.

Did you read my post? I am for securing the border now. I am for stopping the employers from exploiting the undocumented and I am for a Guest Worker Program that keeps this economy moving.

The constitution also says we have a right to an opinion. We are not hard lined hard right wingers as you but we are more in line with what the President has said he supports and we support the Republican President we voted for.

You were DOA with your anti-ethnic agenda. I am proud to be Chicano and I do not dispute that and I am also proud to be an American as I have said you can not separate the two. So, having said that what do you think I am doing? Do you think I am here to disagree or do think I am here to give a different perspective as to what it is I am fighting at my level and to bridge a better understand as to what is out here and what Pro-American Latinos are doing.

You and some others here seem to be resentful of the Fact that I am Chicano and Proud. I am American and Proud. It is not my fault that my culture has been very prevalent in my life and has been passed on to me by my parents, it just is. We are closer to the situation as well. We have family in Mexico and we have ties to that country that will probably never be broken. That does not mean that we do not want to Leftist Politics to spill over to our country and that does not mean that we do not want to see the Pro-Che crap and the Leftist fools running around talking about revolution. In that aspect I am a Revolutionary as I am causing change that is not common to my surroundings. I am placing my life in dangers as I am defamed and slandered as a traitor to my race. Do I care? Hell no, I am here to support this country and I am here to be pro-American. I do not want to see people raising Mexican Flags over government bldgs. I do not want to see Che's image on a Cuban flag at a march in my home town. I am doing all I can to fight my good fight and your inability to see the Chicano side of my fight is your own problem. I am fighting to win back the hearts and minds of a people that have been lead astray by groups that I compare to Hamas and the PLO.

I've got no problem with you being proud of your heritage, what I do have a problem with is calling yourself Chicano. Any use of the term coined and used by the leftist/socialist Cesar Chavez bothers me, but it does make me understand why you support the President on his leftist/socialist agenda to grant amnesty to criminals. Unfortunately, Bush is a RINO.

I do agree that going after employers is the key to this fight against illegal immigration, but I will never agree to amnesty for criminals. It sends the wrong message and is a slap in the face to every legal immigrant and every immigrant that is currently waiting in line.
