President Obama betrayed the highest obligation of his office — safeguarding national security — in trading five hard-core Taliban for the American serviceman who appears to have deserted in Afghanistan.
The five sworn enemies of the United States are now in the Gulf state of Qatar, where they are free to come and go as they like, beyond the watch of American agents. In just one year, they will be free to return to Afghanistan to fight there and stage terror attacks far beyond that country’s borders.
These facts were known to Obama when he made the deal, and yet he went ahead in irresponsible disregard for lives he has endangered. As the facts have emerged — and more surely will — it has become ever clearer that he lost his presidential compass in the Taliban swap.
In retrospect, his Rose Garden announcement that he was bringing home an American POW appears to have been a cynical act of theater.
Basking in the good feelings generated by the release after five years in apparent captivity of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, Obama characterized the Taliban release as a safe and considered transfer.
“The Qatari government has given us assurances that it will put in place measures to protect our national security,” Obama assured, while aides insisted that the U.S. would be able to monitor the five confirmed jihadists and dedicated killers.
Subsequently, the President elaborated: “I wouldn’t be doing it if I thought it would be contrary to American national security.”
But a Gulf official flatly contradicted the idea the U.S. could monitor the killers, telling Reuters that the Taliban leaders “can move around freely within the country” for the next year, and then “can go back to Afghanistan if they want to.”
Far from keeping the five under guard, a Qatari minister deemed them a “humanitarian case,” and his government flew in family to greet them.
Eventually, the facts forced Obama to gesture at the truth he had sought to evade. “Is there the possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us?” he asked. Answering himself, he said, “Absolutely. There’s a certain recidivism rate that takes place.”

Allen B West – This morning on WMALs “Morning on the Mall” radio show with hosts Brian and Larry I was asked a simple question relating to the Taliban prisoner release and impeachment of the president. I responded yes that in this current case, the U.S. House of Representatives should file articles of impeachment against Barack Hussein Obama.

Now before all the detractors go apoplectic here, let me tell you about Article 2 signing statements, their intent, purpose, history, and usage, and the implications for the president’s impeachment.
President Obama used an Article 2 signing statement to deem unconstitutional a measure HE had signed into law contained in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The law stated that he must advise Congress within 30 days about any plans to transfer detainees from GITMO. Obama basically stated that this was “unconstitutional” and that his unilateral action fell within his purview. Once again Obama used selective discretion as to what law he feels he must adhere to — in this case it has severe ramifications for our national security.
Why would the United States acquiesce to the demands of a non-state, non-uniform terrorist organization — the Taliban? The Taliban is our enemy and it is not a nation-state with whom we should enter into negotiations. There are some 141 detainees at GITMO. The five released were senior Taliban officials, basically members of Mullah Omar’s inner circle. If we wanted to release detainees in exchange for Bergdahl, there were many others to choose from. Why these?

The Audacity Of Hussein: Obama Rubs His Jihad In Our Faces

It’s heinous enough that the criminal Obama has yet again flagrantly violated our nation’s laws, by illegally releasing the who’s who of the top-echelon Taliban cadre in the alleged “exchange” for the traitor and enemy collaborator Bowe Bergdahl.
Yet on top of that, Obama showcases and grandstands his overt Islamic Jihad in the Rose Garden before the cameras and microphones, grinning and embracing Bergdahl’s bearded Taliban-agent father, Robert, as the older Bergdahl recites, in Arabic, the Islamic war victory chant, and exults in the wholesale defeat of the United States–achieved, partly, by strategically sending his stealth rat son into and among the ranks of our armed forces, for the very purpose of defecting and eventually leveraging the release of Taliban commanders.
Contrary to the administration’s, and Bergdahl’s, false statements, Bergdahl was not“captured while lagging behind on patrol.” Nor did he “serve with honor and distinction,” as claimed by notorious Obama administration liar Susan Rice.
There is no question that the younger Bergdahl committed the crime (punishable by death) of desertion. Blatantly anti-American emails between Bergdahl and his father, discussing his desire to do so mere days and hours prior to his disappearance, prove it. The troops with whom he was deployed have gone public with the slam-dunk case that he deserted, and the Pentagon even acknowledged it as far back as 2010. Furthermore, irate members of the intelligence community are coming forward and describing that our government’s secret file on Bergdahl (officially sealed until 2019) confirms that Bergdahl joined the Taliban as a sympathizer and collaborator.
So why has the the Army been awarding Private Bergdahl scheduled promotions to Sergeant and Staff Sergeant in absentia, when it is plain and clear that he went AWOL of his own choice, and apparent that he helped the enemy to kill his former fellow troops? Too many of us know the disturbing answer: Obama has purged our military of patriotic leaders, and has achieved an anti-American coup throughout the Department of Defense and all levels of government administration.
Bergdahl’s former unit members have described how, prior to Bergdahl abandoning his post, he went to lengths to obtain information and understanding of the terrain layouts and hidden “avenue of approach” vulnerabilities surrounding his unit’s base of operations, making topographical studies and range maps beyond that normally required and sought by someone merely adhering to his duties as a sentry and soldier. Bergdahl gave every indication to his platoonmates that he was planning to go outside the wire, to “go
native,” and seek a life among the region’s inhabitants. He was reported to have specifically sought out the local Taliban, to replace his U.S. Army company as his new comrades-in-arms, adhering to them.

Later, after Bergdahl went AWOL, the base was successfully attacked by Taliban forces exploiting those very same hidden vulnerabilities, and our troops were exposed to far more enemy action and suffered numerous more casualties as a direct result of Bergdahl’s defection–especially the massive searching for him that was ordered by the higher-ups, and the general heightening of activity in that area of operations.
Instead of being a triumphant Trojan trophy in Obama’s engineering of the defeat of America, the traitor bastard Bergdahl should have been left to die among his new friends under whatever conditions, and the top Taliban detainees at GITMO should have been executed by firing squad long ago for their role in harboring Osama Bin Laden and the planners/hijackers of September 11th, 2001.
Mere impeachment and removal from office is not nearly enough. Barack Hussein Obama (along with Taliban operative Robert Bergdahl, with his campaign of jihad Tweets) should also be tried, convicted, and given the penalty for high treason against the United States. Quote me on that.

While the Obama administration is proudly touting how it was able to free an American soldier who was captured by the Taliban, what no one picked is the fact that Obama SMILED as soon as he heard the most famous war cry of Islam, "bismillah al-rahman al-rahim," Arabic for "in the name of Allah the most gracious, the most merciful." Watch Obama smile as soon as Bergdahl gives the most famous Muslim expression, the "Bismillah" or the "Basmallah":

The "basmallah" is the Islamic expression for victory and only indicates that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's father is a Muslim.
Think that the man is acting as "Muslim" for a stealth operation to rescue his son who is already in good hands in Germany? And what is with the long beard and trimmed mustache?
No this is not a bum, biker, or a Santa Clause fan. When one gives the basmallah, trims his mustache and elongates his beard, it's the first sign of a convert to Islam, just as that an ex-Muslim putting on a cross and saying, "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit," is evidence enough of conversion to Christianity. But there is much more we obtained on this stealth jihadist.
But first, Obama's smile says much. Obama has never declared the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and has no real testimony of converting to Christianity, as his pastor Jeremiah Wright stated:

I made it easy for him to come to an understanding of who Jesus Christ is and not feel that he was turning his back on his Islamic friends and his Islamic traditions and his understanding of Islam

EVIDENCE THAT BERGDAHL CONVERTED TO JIHADI ISLAM
We were first hit with news from Brietbart that the Taliban said that Robert Bowe Bergdahl's son, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, converted to Islam, changed his name to Abdullah, and even trained the Taliban in bomb making techniques.
And like father like son, the young Bergdahl, also trims his mustache and extends his beard, as these pictures show:

But is it the speech with the Basmallah, the beard and the trimmed mustache, the testimonies from his colleagues on his desertion, that confirm our suspicion that these men are Jihadi converts?
Hardly.
What no one in the media captured was Robert Bowe Bergdahl's favorites on his Youtube account.
It reveals a dark mind, a collector of a litany of 'terrorist favorites', videos from training on how to become Muslim Jihadist to urging American troops to desert and even favorite speeches by confirmed terrorists like Shaykh Anwar al-Awlaki, condemning America as a terrorist state:

On one of the videos Bergdahl subscribes to a Jihadi message titled, "Duaa (prayer)."
But prayer for what? His son's release only? Hardly, it's for the release of the terrorists in American captivity. The prayer begins in Arabic, as Shoebat.com translates:

O Allah, release our prisoners, the Muslim prisoners, and send them back to our families in peace!

One would think that Bergdahl does not understand what is said in Arabic? Think again, he comments himself stating:

"Al-Hamdu Lillah, Ameen, Ameen May the duas of the ummah be heard and may Allah free my son from captivity!

English:

Praise be to Allah, Amen, Amen, my prayers for all the Muslim Nation (ummah) be heard and may Allah free my son from captivity. In the name of Allah most merciful most beneficient, it is thee whom I worship, it is thee whom I seek refuge.

He types perfect Arabic and announces he is Muslim, "thee [Allah] I worship …"
Another favorite is a lecture from Mufti Ismail Menk, who identifies himself as a Muslim scholar titled "Qualities Of A True Worshipper". Menk was also a favorite of Boston bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev.

Former Squad Leader: Bergdahl Was Seeking Out the Taliban

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s former squad leader Sgt. Evan Buetow this morning told Martha MacCallum that he believes the former prisoner of war was seeking out the Taliban.


In the days after his disappearance, Buetow heard over the radio that there was an American looking for someone who spoke English so that he could contact the Taliban.

Buetow said it’s not surprising that he allegedly walked off the base, referencing many clues leading up to his disappearance.

Did Bowe Bergdahl Purposefully Offer Himself as a Bargaining Chip?

According to friends, Bowe Bergdahl enlisted in the Army to provide philanthropic support to the war effort. I can only presume that means to the people of Afghanistan. The U.S. Army is not a charity, and while it does remarkable things because it is staffed by brave and selfless Americans, those Americans' first service is to their country, not to provide philanthropy.
Let us presume that Bowe Bergdahl already knew what the Army was for, despite his supposed purpose in joining, since none of that is hidden from the public. No one joins for philanthropy.
Before he disappeared from his base in Afghanistan in 2009, according to Daily Mail quotes from a Rolling Stone magazine article, Bowe Bergdahl is alleged to have written e-mails to his parents that not merely questioned policy, but are said to have included “I am ashamed to be an American. And the title of U.S. soldier is just the lie of fools. I am sorry for everything. The horror that is America is disgusting.” His father, about whom much is coming to light, is quoted in a reply telling his son, “OBEY YOUR CONSCIENCE!” This was before the disappearance.
In 2009, according to accounts of fellow soldiers, Sgt. Bergdahl failed to show up for morning roll call after guard duty the prior night at their outpost. They found his body armor, rifle, helmet, and web gear neatly left behind. It is reported that at least 6 soldiers were killed in subsequent efforts to find him, and those who survived were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements.
Contrary to Bergdahl’s own account, he was not lagging behind on a patrol and got nabbed by the Taliban. He went to them.
This is the same Taliban that has an affinity for cutting off the heads of American soldiers. Somehow, Bergdahl’s useful head remained attached throughout his time as a visitor with the “captors” who did not actually capture him. Thus far, there is no evidence whatsoever that Bergdahl’s account of being captured is credible in any way. He volunteered.
While he was away, Bergdahl was reported by the Taliban to have converted to Islam in 2010, and to have learned Arabic, which is not a commonly used language in Afghanistan, where the primary languages are Pashto and Dari. It seems that Sgt. Bergdahl was an exceptionally easy guest. Meanwhile, Bergdahl’s father is on video referring to the Taliban as the “Islamic Emirate,” which is the terminology of a sympathizer.
Certainly there are those who might cry foul over such a connection. After all, this was a father trying to save his son, right? Except that there is no appearance that his son was in any immediate danger. I have not seen accounts, contemporaneous or since his release, suggesting that Bergdahl was tortured or otherwise abused. His videos do not suggest he has been maimed or disfigured, or that he has actually resisted the enemy he sought out in any known way. Like the U.S. Army, the Taliban does not exist for philanthropic pursuits, especially toward Americans. Yet, this American was protected, fed, sheltered, nurtured, and supported by those who have a political and religious reason for everything they do, and none of it involves the notion of Christian charity. It seems the treatment reserved for a special case.
It would have looked exceedingly odd in the United States had the father not made a show of asking for his son’s release, and publicly at least, overtures would have to be made lest one wonder why not. But the video of Bob Bergdahl speaking to the “captors” in English, and to his son in a Central Asian dialect, was jarring. What kind of proud American father of a proud American son feels the need to speak to his son in the language of his son’s jailers? Why the familiarity and seeming adoption of the ways of the alleged aggressors?
Despite the public comments, Bob Bergdahl has been quite happily waging his own personal war of deeds and words in favor of the radical Islamists who had supposedly captured his son and were keeping him safe, while slamming the United States. CNN reports that Bob Bergdahl grew his beard in a way typical of converts to Islam out of solidarity with his son, but why do that if even the son was presumably forced to do so only under threat of harm if he did not? I doubt many parents of GIs in POW camps in Germany grew little black mustaches during World War II, or took to speaking German, because of what their sons were forced to endure. One does not adopt the traits of the enemy, unless the enemy is not actually an enemy.
Bob Bergdahl’s Twitter postings during his son’s alleged captivity have been widely reported, and are damning of the United States while offering praise to Taliban detainees at Guantánamo Bay. And there are his comments praising Allah in the Rose Garden press conference. If ever there was a case study in conflicting loyalties, he might take the prize. Unless we give him too much credit, and there really aren’t any conflicts.
There is much that is not yet clear, since this happened only in the last couple of days, but there are some things I’d like to know more about. I’d like to know when Bob Bergdahl converted to Islam. I’d like to know whether Bowe Bergdahl had either already converted before he enlisted, thus believing he could provide philanthropy to fellow Muslims while there, or actually waited until the Taliban got him to a cave immediately upon his inquiring whether they might like a handy propaganda tool.
I’d like to know whether Bergdahl’s surrender was pre-arranged. I’d like to know whether he and his so-called captors regularly discussed the greatest use to which he could be put in service to Islam. After all, the United States honors and prizes its servicemen and women and, short of negotiating with the terrorists, has worked under prior administrations to get them back, dead or alive. It might take some time to maximize his potential, but what else was Bergdahl going to do? After all, if he returned and failed to account for his neatly arranged gear and his own absence, he would erase all doubt that he had deserted.
If Bergdahl was already a loyal servant of Islam, and thus believed it to be his duty to sacrifice himself for the ideology, how far-fetched it is to question whether he did not offer himself as a bargaining chip to be used as the Taliban saw fit? In exchange for time spent being fed, watered, and applauded by his handlers, he would eventually be put to a greater use in the destruction of the United States, the Taliban’s greatest enemy.
Still, even if all of this is true, the last piece of the puzzle was a president happy to play his own part against the Taliban’s enemy. How else to explain the thousands of American lives, and those if its allies’ citizens, that will be forfeited to achieve the supposed victory of liberating one America-hating deserter?

TALIBAN TWIST THE KNIFE: Taliban Release Video of A Healthy Bergdahl Being Handed Over

The Taliban have released a propaganda video of the moment accused deserter U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl was handed over to American troops in eastern Afghanistan – a trade that has since become a major embarrassment for the president.

The footage reveals that Bergdahl is able to walk unaided, despite claims by U.S. officials that his health had been key in the decision to act quickly in the prisoner swap. The swift move meant that the president illegally failed to notify Congress before the trade, Republicans have said.
In the video, which emerged overnight, Bergdahl is clean shaven with a shaved head and dressed in a white salwar kameez waiting in a white pick-up truck as Taliban militants stand outside.
Armed gunmen can also be seen standing on the hills around the valley as Black Hawk helicopters draw closer to the meeting point.

Andy Andrews says he has learned through Facebook in recent days that his son, a U.S. Army officer, died while looking for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was freed this weekend in a controversial prisoner exchange with the Taliban. Andrews said his son had told them about Bergdahl deserting the unit in the months before his death.
Andrews said the government never mentioned the search for Bergdahl after their son's death, only telling them at the time that Lt. Andrews died while hunting a Taliban commander. He said he's been told that soldiers had to sign non-disclosure agreements, promising they would not discuss the search for Bergdahl.
"They certainly weren't telling the truth. I'm sure part of the mission had an actual search [for a Taliban commander] involved. But evidently the focus was looking for Bergdahl," said Sondra.
Mrs. Andrews believes her son died as a direct result of Bergdahl's desertion, calling for Bergdahl to be tried in a military court.
"He left his men during a war. That is even more critical than just leaving your base. ... He created a vulnerability because they had to look for him. Of course, the Taliban knew that the Americans would look for their men," she said, calling Lt. Andrews a "great son" and "a strong Christian" who was always looking to help others.
There are at least five other U.S. service members who are said to have been killed in the search for Bergdahl. The Pentagon said Monday it was reviewing claims about U.S. soldiers' deaths in the search for Bergdahl.
