Zillow renting prices are hogwash!

They only list what rent should cost for the type of rental unit in area, they do not show the actual rents being charged.

Residential Rentals in CA are so ridiculously inflated with artificial values and the state
Does nothing to protect it's citizens from being price gauged in the housing market.

From Zuma Beach, North of Malibu, down to San Diego, rental prices for a half decent place to live without fear of being shot is $2200 - $2900 for 1 bedroom and anywhere from $2900 - $4400 for 2 bedroom.

Let's not forget, in order to move in you are required at minimum to pay first months rent + last months rent + current month rent for deposit.

If you are an illegal, all this is given to you.

Many people want to live in California.
Some of them can't afford it.

Because the STUFF 20 people into a house. And this should be against City Regulations and strictly enforced! Start cleaning up these neighborhoods, fine them and boot them out of these houses. Fire Safety Code, etc. applies.

Residents should start reporting them to the Fire Marshals.

That and the PILES of garbage they dump in the front yard, back yard and alleys!
