    In 2003, Claudia Norman was already the artistic director of the Queens Latino Cultural Festival and a series at Lincoln Center when she noticed a vacuum in Mexican-themed events in the city.

    The Mexico City native held a meeting with 60 cultural institutions, from the Brooklyn Academy of Music to the defunct Carlito’s café in East Harlem, to see when they last had presented contemporary work from Mexico.

    Amnerica celebrates law abiding immigrants not illegals.

    I think they should have a parade and dance, twirl and spin themselves all the way back to Mexico............so we could All celebrate. smile.

    Good one ELE! I think if you love your country so much, move back! Why allow these traitors to take advantage of us, when they love Mexico so much more. I got into a debate about this with my Mexican neighbor when I saw a mexican flag in his house. After a couple of minutes, he realized I was right because it wasn't Mexico that allowed him to be successful. America did. He is a very smart marketer and has done great things with his video business. I help him with his English promos and he pays me. He will be replacing Mexican flag soon He is legal too!
