When will you ever hear that from the heads of the big US automotive corporations It's really no wonder the Japanese are kicking our butt, their CEOs are not giving themselves bonuses every other month and earning exuberant salaries! This Japanese CEO is putting his company before himself as opposed to the other way around. If your company and its employees are suffering, you better make sure you're suffering with them or else you wont get the sufficient sense of urgency to get your company back up and running. You also earn a little respect from your fellow employees, which doesn't hurt.

It seems like it's always about me and no one else among the CEOs.

I cut my pay before doing it to any of my workers, but even that didn't help.

It may now help but it does have a psychological effect especially in larger corporations than yours.
