War on ISIS – A Hiccup In Obama’s March Toward American Disarmament That Exposes Our Growing Vulnerability

The timing of the hostilities in Syria may prove to be a benefit to those in the military who recognize and have expressed concern over the Obama regime’s march towards unilateral disarmament of our military in the face of escalating global threats.
Two key weapons programs which have been relied upon heavily in the current mini-campaign in Syria and Iraq have fallen victims to the Obama blade, with our current inventory representing all that will be available to us.
In the first night of our limited offensive response against terrorist locations in Syria, the United States launched 47 Tomahawk cruise missiles against ISIS and Khorasan targets. This effective and vital component of our ability to engage the enemy will soon be a thing of the past.
The Tomahawk program was discontinued in March as part of Obama’s downsizing of our military, a tradeoff to allow him to pay for the up-sizing of our welfare and illegal alien support programs.
The U.S. had roughly 4,000 Tomahawks on hand, indicating a depletion of approximately ten percent of our stockpile in just one night of strikes, and no means or intention of replacing those which are used.
Breitbart.com reports that the decision to cancel the weapons program also sparked outrage among our British allies, who depend upon that missile exclusively for their attack submarine fleet.
Obama’s weakening of America’s military was also on display in the form of our use of the now discontinued F-22 Raptor, the current state of the art and most capable fighter jet ever developed. The cancelation of the Raptor comes in the face of the increased production of the Russian counterpart, the Sukhoi T-50 and the emergence of the new Chinese J-20 an F-22 clone, based largely upon our technology.
The argument against the F-22 was that it was too costly and there were no comparable fighters creating a need that would justify the expenditure. The facts are that Russia and China have and continue to develop a similar capability, one that we are ceding to them.
Given this reality, it is no wonder that Obama has had his heels dug in on air strikes. The socialists have put a lot of effort into degrading America’s military capability. The last thing they want is to demonstrate to the American public how dangerous it is and how foolish we are to allow it to happen.
