7 wounded in West, South Side shootings

At least seven people were wounded in shootings since 6 a.m. Wednesday on the West and South sides, police said.
The most recent shooting happened in the Grand Crossing neighborhood about 4:40 p.m. A 17-year-old was shot in the foot and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition with a foot wound. He was shot near 71st Street and Eberhart Avenue.
Four people were shot after 1 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Warren Boulevard in the city's East Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.
Preliminary reports said at least four people were wounded at the scene, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago police spokeswoman. A 41-year-old man was shot in the leg and torso. He was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized. Another man, also 41, was shot in the left foot. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, Tannehill said.
A 47-year-old man suffered a wound to the right arm, and he was taken to Stroger, and a 20-year-old man was shot in the right foot. He went to Mount Sinai.
Shortly before noon, a 27-year-old man was shot in the 600 block of South St. Louis Avenue in the same neighborhood, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
According to preliminary reports, the man suffered a graze wound to the face and a gunshot wound to the torso, Trainor said.

There was no immediate information available about his condition or where he went for treatment.
Earlier Wednesday, a 23-year-old man was shot in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side. That shooting happened about 6:10 a.m. in the 700 block of East 91st Street, Trainor said.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and ran to another location, where he called police. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in good condition, Trainor said.
