    China and Chicken Lifting the Ban By Congress

    China Is Expected to Block Imports of Chicken From U.S.

    "The rule caused an uproar among U.S. food-safety advocates, and in 2007 lawmakers inserted a provision in the 2008 fiscal-year spending bill that prohibited the USDA from allowing chicken processed in China to be imported. The same prohibition was included in the spending bill in the next two fiscal years."

    Within the last few days I heard Congress in a committee talking about lifting the ban on chicken from China.

    This article is not saying that Congress is talking to lift the ban this week on C-Span.
