According to the ratings trend in cable news coverage of the Chilean miner rescue, you probably didn’t catch Chris Matthews on Hardball last night. Which is a shame, because Matthews did his best to reward those who did tune in, telling MSNBC viewers that if the miners had been under Tea Party influence, “They wouldn’t have gotten out. They would’ve been killing each other.â€

The Tea Party believe in every man for himself. … No more taxes, no more government, no more everything. No more safety net. … Make your buck. Save it. Screw the government
I do not think any one of us will ever see this happen. I am thinking these people at least want sensible spending and limit the taxes. And stop a lot of the handouts that we all know is absurd.

Who is this "Chris Matthews" person?
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!

It just proves that Matthews is not a genuine journalist who can accurately report events such as the Chilean mine incident or analyze movements such as the grassroots conservative movement. If he does not know the difference between anarchy (no government), a smaller, republic-based government, and a large, omnipotent socialist-based government he does not have the qualifications to be in his job. If he does know, and chooses to distort the truth in order to make a political statement (vs a journalistic objective analysis), he does not have the integrity to be in his job.

I don't know what the Tea Party has to do with miners or vise versa.

I can see now why when reading comments made by lefty's online on subjects totally unrelated to politics always seem to work in some sort of cut down to the "tea-baggers" or other right wing persons or groups.

A while back, I was reading about a distant planet that might sustain life and wouldn't you know it, someone made a comment to the effect of "I hope there are no "tea baggers" there." Now I know who they get it from.
