'Christ' Taken Out Of Christmas Festival

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Tightening budgets have forced Mt. Pleasant to take Christ out of their Christmas.

The traditional Dickens Christmas Festival has been re-named the Dickens Holiday Festival so the city can advertise in local schools.

In order to get more bang for their buck out of a thinning advertisement budget, the organization wants to put fliers in schools. For that to happen, the word “Christmasâ€

There is a simple answer to this. Christians could fix this quickly.

Put their money where their mouth is.

BSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBs If anyone is offended by CHRIST they should leave. We allow other religons to practice here buy it shouldn't be to the detrement of our religon and culture. PC is going to be the death of this country if we don't stop this BS.

Since they are so EAGER to take Christ out of our live and CULTURE...

Maybe we should STOP GIVING THEM OUR MONEY. MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST FORGET THEY "SHOPPING PART OF CHRISTMAS!!!"

So they can't mention the word Christmas, but they can mention the paganistic Scrooge story wherein he's visited by three GHOSTS???

I'd say it's time to lower that budget down to zero by skipping this "poorly-funded" event.

JAK That's the point - We have Christmas because people shop. If all Christians either didn't shop in towns, or stores that didn't have Christmas - things would change.

Yes, some good people who own stores and are afraid to stand up to the PC crowd would be hurt.

But like everything else, there comes a time in life when you have to stand up for what you believe -

Christmas was always celebrated for the "birth of Christ" !! America has always celebrated it December 25... so if these people want to continue to call it "winter break", etc...and take Christ out of it.... maybe we should stop SPENDING OUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!! ... and take that "holiday" away from the calendar... period!!!!!

Jesus, Christians, always under attack. For me, it is another reason to believe. Of all the religions, it is Jesus and his followers who are always the ones ridiculed and said to pose a threat. Yet anything and everything else is allowed or made excuses for in the mainstream.
