Club For Growth Touts Tight Three-Way Race in Alaska
Club For Growth Touts Tight Three-Way Race in Alaska

The Club For Growth, which is backing GOP candidate Joe Miller in his Alaska Senate bid, released the results of a new survey it commissioned yesterday that show an incredibly tight three-way race has taken shape:
Our recent survey in Alaska uncovered a VERY close race in the Senate campaign. Joe Miller leads the pack with 33%, followed by Lisa Murkowski (31%) and Scott McAdams (27%). McAdams is within the poll’s 4.9% margin of error to Murkowski’s support, and Murkowski is within the margin of error to Miller’s total.
The state is heavily shaded red, but with Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Joe Miller effectively splitting the vote, Sitka mayor Scott McAdams (D) has found himself within striking distance. So far Democrats have written off the small-town mayor’s ambitions, but maybe these numbers will convince some operatives in Washington that there exists an outside chance of pulling off a real upset in the the Last Frontier.
