CNN Chart Compares Surgical Costs in Nine Countries
http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/04/26/ch ... tml?hpt=C1
At the bottom of this article is a chart listing several standard surgical procedures and the costs in eight other countries as compared to the US.
A heart valve replacement can cost 170,000 dollars in the US, but $22,000 in Thailand. However, I am not sure if I would actually opt for the 1200 dollar surgery in India.
Yet for hip replacements in places like Colombia ($8,360) or Costa Rica ($12, 500) it might even be worth it to walk there from the US ($50,000)."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David
