Atlanta, GA - The Department of Homeland Security was humiliated when it learned that one of its Immigration Services employees was a fugitive wanted on felony charges in New Jersey. According to the Essex County, NJ prosecutor’s office, the Department of Homeland Security and Immigrations Services office had no idea that their employee, Tahaya Buchanan, had been indicted on one count of Insurance fraud after staging the theft of her SUV. The warrant had been outstanding since 2007.

Ms. Buchanan was arrested during a routine traffic stop. She has plead guilty to the charge of Insurance Fraud and will serve three months probation for the offense. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services spokeswoman, Ana Santiago told a reporter for the Star-Ledger of Newark that she did not have any information on whether DHS employee lists are routinely compared to national warrant databases.

In a pub, located in the downtown area of Atlanta, Mr. Michael Whelen said, "What was once a tight ship during the Bush Administration has become a loose and borderline nonfunctional gaggle under the Obama Administration. No wonder the deputy Attorney General quit." Another person, Laquita Williams of Atlanta stated, "They don’t know about their own folks. How can they stop the Major Hasans (Referring to the Islamic Army Psychiatrist suspected of attacking military personnel in Ft. Hood, TX) from infiltrating the military when they can’t keep up with themselves?"
