    Do you have a local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post? I believe they take an active interest in enforcing correct flag etiquette within the community-at-large.

    Do you have a local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post? I believe they take an active interest in enforcing correct flag etiquette within the community-at-large.
    I emailed our local VFW and American Legion a week ago and still haven't
    heard from them. I have some friends in another post of the VFW
    I've done some bagpiping for them. I emailed them yesterday, no
    answer from them either.

    That flag has been upside down for a week now. There must be thousands
    of cars pass by there every day. I'm suprised that no one else cares. Have
    we really degraded to this point?

    UPDATE:

    I have finally opened a dialogue with the owner of the business. He
    has removed the flags and says he plans to put a permanent flag pole
    out soon. To those of you who emailed him, thank you for your support
    but please don't email him further.
