Does Anyone Think Both Repubs and Dems Are Both Destructive?

I see Repubs as being for the wealthy and "Big Business" only...and "Big Business" is what's rushing the world to "globalism"...and Dems are just trying to rush us to globalism a little faster.

It sure seems that way. For the past several elections, I am forced to choose between the lesser of two evils, i.e., the less awful candidate. For the Senate race this year, I had a choice of a RINO or an Obama rubber stamp. For Congress, a man with NO experience or the current congresswoman that would not listen to her constituents (love those phone conference town hall meetings, Melissa, the "wrong" question couldn't get through).

I think both parties have elements that will pressure our government to do things for them---that are not based upon sound judgement and that cost taxpayers extra money. On the right we have more military adventurism than we need---I think in part because military people realize that if they make it through the risky experiences they can get some long term benefits. We should be prompting our allies to do more to assume that burden, or partner with efforts towards "regional security initiatives." I realize it is a tough call to make; but other nations are more responsible than we give them credit for and willing to participate in strategic security efforts. There is always a crop of adventurous young men in these countries that think nothing bad can happen to them. Maybe we could make use of them, without foolishly bargaining away our own sovereignty.

On the left, utilizing the ploy of equality and anti racism has become a surefire way to heap guilt upon people and shake them down for more value. Just combine that strategy with judicial activists schooled in redistributionist ideology and they have a formula for huge financial success.

The old time liberals did make some good progress---such as in making a very good (too good) safety net, in bringing about industrial safety and consumer safety. They keep sharpening the axe, though, and their expanding class of activists have to look for new people and groups to shake down.

Greed, power, lack of values, morals, and simply no love of country, as I heard someone on radio say today an 8th grade education build America after WW2 and now those from elite universities will destroy it, sad.

Too large of government very corrupt and out of control no matter what party. I do not see it ending well for my grandchildren.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

Globalists and lobbyists and amoral corporations and bankers, funding outsourcing of our ingenuity, technology and jobs.

They are both the same, different in name only.

I agree, both parties can be very destructive to this nation. They no longer do their best for the country and its future. They look out for only themselves and their party and also for what they can get out of occupying an office.

We are moving into yet another period of preperations of the 2012 elections. The Repubs are posturing for a standoff against Obama and Democrats. Let us see what happens in the new year when Repubs take a good many seats in Congress

Many business leaders are Rs and they support Rs. Unfortunately, too many of these business leaders support globalization, outsourcing, free trade, a NA Union.

Upward mobillity is positively ingrained into the American character. So from whatever position someone is born into, chances are they are going to aspire to more success. For example, how often does the son of a lawyer go into bricklaying? So assuming I am correct about upward mobility as a general trend, people who leave regular employment to become entrepreneurs usually find that it's a lot tougher than they thought. So they turn to employing the cheapest labor they can get---often illegal. Trouble is, the owners of big companies do the same, and probably because the unskilled labor pool is shrinking.

Any republican and any democrat who supports amnesty for illegal aliens is destructive. IMO
    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

The Open Broders, Come And Get It agenda is being pushed from the Right and from the Left. Repubs want cheap labor, the ability to run this magnificent country for the benefit of corporate executives, and the disppearance of American sovereignty. Demos are salivating over all those undocumented Democrats.

The sorry state of our economy is the only thing preventing the Open Borders crowd from winning. Demos were clobbered because they wouldn't listen to Americans' number one concern: keeping roofs over their heads by being employed. Repubs benefitted because they were not seen as running the show.

Lamar Smith is no dummy. His stated priorities are increasing E-Verify and worksite enforcement. If he follows thru, we will see Americans going back to work. Also, Repubs will be rewarded at the election polls, and we will see the tide turning in the favor of public policy which is based on what's best for Americans.
