Upward mobillity is positively ingrained into the American character. So from whatever position someone is born into, chances are they are going to aspire to more success. For example, how often does the son of a lawyer go into bricklaying? So assuming I am correct about upward mobility as a general trend, people who leave regular employment to become entrepreneurs usually find that it's a lot tougher than they thought. So they turn to employing the cheapest labor they can get---often illegal. Trouble is, the owners of big companies do the same, and probably because the unskilled labor pool is shrinking.
The unskilled labor pool is larger than you think. Too many high schools fail to graduate many students. We have thousands of unskilled people. They are usually young, but many older workers are also potential workers. Many older workers have been displaced from a semi skilled job, and for them to transition to another field, throws them into an unskilled classification.

Yup. Both parties are pretty much anti American now. Its about choosing the lessor of 2 evils and our country needs a political revolution of a sort to fix the political problems that plague our country. Republicans are for the rich and big business and dems are for social welfare of the lazy and the rights of non citizens be them illegal aliens stealing jobs or legal immigrants trying to make us adopt their ways.

We really need to do something to throw out both parties and reform the political system back to the original constitution and bill of rights.

Yes. Both parties are destructive and both parties work hand and hand.

They are both beneficial to one another in a sneaky way.

Business, any business is not Democrat or Republican. Business is an entity that follows the laws of business, ie a bottom line, red or black.

The Republicans can spend money and help the Democrats just as well in reverse.

If a conservative natured business gets a contract with the government, they have expenses that will find their way into the hands of a socialist programs and companies.

If a corporation manufactures paper from national forestry grounds that the Republicans have opened up for logging and sell the paper to a pornography publisher for magazines who sells the magazines to a porn shop. Who made money?

If a social program funded by Democrats buys some paper from a company for their office, who is making money?

    One hand feeds the other.

Those greeter jobs look good, when you need the money.

Home foreclosures used to happen because the loans should never have been written in the first place. Now foreclosures happen because of "economic displacement" - i.e., people are running out of money. For every illegal we kick out of an entry level job, there will be a desparate American waiting to take his place.

Entry level jobs used to also be good as fallback jobs. When, for example, a carpenter couldn't get enough work, he'd take an entry level job, to keep food on the table. Now employers hire a docile illegal and that carpenter is SOL when work dries up.

I agree with the header question. I think that anybody who is still totally engaged in the 2 party system may be mentally damaged enough that perhaps they should not be allowed to vote. . . . just joking . . . kind of.

Many people do not believe in another party but to me that is the only way to get things moving. That would be like letting the Dems and Repubs know their is another player out there. We would just need more great people to run for office

There is nothing wrong with your average Democrat , or your average Republican , The Average American believes in the roots of these parties

Where they get dinged is that the parties have been taken over by

Republicans that are not repubs , they are neo Cons

Dems have sold out to progressives

These are 2 different animals and its time to slap the takeovers to the curb

There is nothing wrong and a lot right with basic core philosophies of both parties , its when they take it to the extremes in both cases that it goes fubar
