Don’t Let Traitors Ruin America’s Birthday

When forces of evil, set out to destroy
A country’s heart, its love, its joy,
They are always helped by traitors within
Who call themselves good, but are riddled with sin.

These traitors I speak of are very good liars
Fooling youngsters still wet behind their ears.
The fancy rhetoric ignites hopeful fires
In the trusting hearts of their tender years.

‘Oh say can you see by the dawn’s early light’
Our anthem proclaims with loving insight,
Instilling pride and greatness for what we are -
Hope for the world ‘neath a shining star.

But not all our people are true to our cause;
Many preach credence to lies and deceit.
Their lies of discord should give us all pause
As they move this country towards defeat.

My country ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty
Is the first line in a ballad of old;
But today we face mounting poverty
As our souls to the devil are sold.

Our President and Congress are destroying
This great Nation our founders built well,
They denigrate the laws of employing
While casting goodness to the gates of Hell.

Will this year be the last celebration
Of the glorious freedoms we have known?
One party rule has shackled our Nation
Burying hopes in a Socialist Zone.
