Donald Trump Jr. is not shy about attacking the same powerful Democrats who are trying to ensnare him in the Trump-Russia probe.

On Sunday, he took to Twitter to lambast Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The son of President Trump spent 10 hours before the same committee last week. Democrats are particularly interested in the meeting he took in June 2016 with a Russian lawyer who promised dirt on Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump Jr. has said the lawyer offered no such opposition research and instead put in a pitch to repeal a sanctions law against Moscow.

Mr. Trump Jr. responded to a Feinstein tweet that criticized the Republican tax bill for capping mortgages interest deductions on loans above $750,000.

She tweeted that California has seven counties whose average home prices exceed the cap. She ended the tweet with a #GOPTaxScam.

“Terrible, Trump is really hitting the little guy. Good to see you’re concerned about protecting the rich. This hits me but I imagine it doesn’t touch too many working class Americans. Democrats now the party of the rich.”

Two weeks ago, Mr. Trump Jr. went to war against Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, where he also had an all-day appearance behind closed doors.
Republicans say committee Democrats leaked grossly incorrect information to CNN.

The false story line was that Mr. Trump Jr. received a Wikileaks heads up days before the anti-secrecy group released more hacked Democratic Party emails. CNN later that day retracted the story because it cited the wrong date. The Wikileaks notice came days after it posted the emails.

Mr. Trumps’ lawyer sent a letter to the committee chairman demanding a leak investigation. He also accused Adam Schiff of California, the panel’s ranking Democrat, of mischaracterizing in TV appearances his client’s testimony.

Mr. Schiff, who embraces the unverified Democratic-financed Russian dossier, was on a Twitter roll of his own last week, lamenting that Republicans might soon end the investigation.

On Tuesday, three House Republicans sent a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California. Tweeted by Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York, the three said leaks from the House Intelligence Committee must stop and offenders fired.

Responded Mr. Trump Jr. on Twitter, “Nice to see a Republican fighting back for a change. Till this gets resolved why would people engage with these committees voluntarily? When confidential information is leaked during ongoing testimony you have a serious credibility problem.”

Republicans say Democrats leak testimony in-progress to their favorite news outlets such as CNN.
