This Is Exactly Why Democrat Power Brokers Are VERY NERVOUS About Hillary Clinton as Their Nominee

To say that it’s been a bad week for Hillary Clinton is without a doubt an understatement. Try MISERABLE WEEK. Let us, dear reader, count the ways. 1. Her “Dead Broke” gaffe. In trying to show how connected she is/was to the economic challenge so many of us have been grappling with, instead she showed just how DISCONNECTED she is. 2. Her testy spat with a popular NPR host. In an interview centering on her “evolved” view on gay marriage, Hillary’s nasty temper was on full display when challenged on her flip-flop on the issue. 3. Her very loose grasp on American history. Attempting to invoke the name of an American president to score political points, Hillary said that Abraham Lincoln was once a senator from Illinois. Not. 4. Her misstep in wading into the Bowe Bergdahl controversy. Saying that “it doesn’t matter” whether he was a deserter or not reminded people of her “what difference does it make” Benghazi testimony. 5. Her sagging poll numbers. Gallup showed her favorability rating on the decline, but not nearly as much as what a new Bloomberg poll shows… Mrs. Clinton’s approval rating has dropped 18 points in as many months, from a peak of 70% when she left the State Department to just 52% now. That is a whopping, close-to-disastrous collapse. Why? My opinion — the concept of Hillary is much more appealing than the reality. When she’s considered in the abstract, her popularity is much higher than when harsh reality sets in…when she actually acts and speaks and reveals who she really is. The on-the-ground, on-the-stump, real-and-true Hillary Clinton is a fundamentally flawed candidate whose political blemishes and lingering bruises are all too readily apparent. For these reasons — and more that will undoubtedly surface in coming months — there’s no question that Democrat power brokers are not nearly as sold on a Clinton candidacy for president as are Hillary’s fawning fans in the public as well as in the media.
