Executive Order Continues the Process of Using the CDC to Attempt Gun Confiscation

This past January – thanks to the ever-present Executive Order – Obama made a move that continued what Bill Clinton started. You’ve probably noticed it occurring in society without even really understanding why it’s happening.

It’s an interesting situation:

“On January 26th, Obama issued Exec Order #14, a ‘Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to research the causes and prevention of gun violence‘.” (emphasis added)
Though this specific EO is new, the truth is that since the 1980s the CDC has been trying to use “scientific” studies to show that guns were a risk to public health. Sadly, our tax dollars are spent on these types of “studies” based on leftist agendas. Obama is simply keeping things going.
The question of course, is why did Obama do that? Well, aside from the fact that his bosses in the global elite told him to do it, he did it for one very important reason. In essence, he wants to do to guns what the medical profession has done with cigarettes. He wants guns to be seen as so repulsive (backed by official “studies” from the CDC) that through direct peer pressure, people will come to see guns as being truly dirty and despicable. Having a gun then would make that individual who owns it appear the same way.
Nicholas Johnson (in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine) wrote, “Anything that unnecessarily contributes to human disease, injury, or death is a proper concern of public health, including firearm deaths…Public health’s role is to reduce these firearm injuries and deaths.”
In one swell swoop (or signature), Obama has created a situation where guns and resultant gun violence is now being seen under the scrutiny of public health concerns. He is obviously hoping to move it away from the 2nd Amendment and make it a health-related issue. If he can successfully accomplish this, then it may well be that he will gain much more support for obliterating the “gun culture.”
The CDC working with Obama to eradicate guns.
However, let’s not kid ourselves. This is all a smokescreen. Peer pressure goes only so far and it obviously has not gone far enough to end drug usage, has it? Of course, there are too many articles and books out there indicating that the CIA is connected with a good amount of the drug trade and it is also likely that many of the international “conflicts” that America has been involved in over the past number of decades has more to do with keeping drugs flowing than anything else. I wrote another article about the international drug cartel that you can read, so I won’t go into that here.Last December, I wrote another article on cigarette smoking and how the medical industry gathered themselves together and worked with Hollywood to reduce the incidents of smoking shown in movies, especially where impressionable young people were in attendance. One of the things I pointed out is that doctors and others within the medical field fully admit that “There is a lot of research that shows the link between smoking in TV or movies and in children.”
Really. Imagine that. Studies point out that when younger people watch their peers or older individuals light up in movies, they tend to want to mirror their actions. Because of this, smoking took in younger groups of people. They saw and they copied. That seems to be a no-brainer.
Isn’t it interesting though that these same people in Hollywood will tell you that there is no connection between violence shown on the screens and violence in real life. I find that fascinating. I guess they’re trying to tell us that while young people by into the power of suggestion where cigarettes are concerned, they’re too smart for that where violence – especially gun violence – is concerned. They see violence for what it is and reject it, so we are to believe. I don’t believe it.
But now, Obama wants the medical profession (via the CDC) to put gun violence under the microscope and find a way to see it as a health problem so that it guns themselves become the real enemy. Just saying guns are the enemy isn’t a convincing argument, but if you can somehow move guns into the realm of public health, then there may be something that the left can really work with to overturn the 2nd Amendment.
This past June, a preliminary report was issued that essentially pointed out that by emphasizing the public health problems related with guns, effective solutions could be realized. What might those effective solutions be? Nicholas Johnson again offers his opinion here by stating, “A total handgun eradication program might be useful toward this end…”
Not to belabor this point, but let’s say – based as a service to public health – the administration was actually able to create a program that eradicated guns in society. Whose guns would go first? Guns owned by law-abiding citizens, of course. Would they go after guns illegally owned by criminals or would-be criminals? Of course not. They would only concern themselves with those guns as those individuals were arrested (and/or killed) and the guns could then be taken away from them and off the street.
The left would then say that eventually, guns would be eliminated from the streets. This is only true if they could stop the flow of illegal guns into this country, which they can’t. The government has never been able to fully stop anything that’s illegal – prostitution, drugs, gun-running, murder, robbery, or anything else. They can possibly stop some of it temporarily, but never permanently. It’s always there because people will find a way to do what they want to do.
“Doctors Katherine Christoffel and Robert Tanz of the Children’s Hospital in Chicago proudly announced a plan ‘…to do to handguns what their profession has done to cigarettes … turn gun ownership from a personal-choice issue to a repulsive,anti-social health hazard.’”
Essentially, these folks want to shame people into giving up their guns. It’s all a bunch of hooey, but I’m sure that some individuals will fall for it. It’s very likely why young people are being suspended from school for carving what appears to be a “gun” out of their Pop-Tart, or for wearing a shirt that references the 2nd Amendment, etc.
The left wants to play hardball and dangit, those guns need to go! It doesn’t matter that they will never be able to collect all illegal guns in this country. Then again, they’re not concerned about that because criminals are not patriots. The left is concerned solely about getting guns away from people who would be willing to use guns to resist the tyranny that is being created by the federal government.
