As Sunday’s Green Bay Packers game kicked off, fans were perplexed when a stylized version of the American flag that looks more like decorative bunting, than our actual national flag, was paraded out onto the field for a pre-game ceremony.

The strange banner caused ESPN’s Rob Demovsky to remark, “Not sure what country today’s Packers-Bills game is being played in but that’s not my flag.”

The odd vexillological display brought many fans to wonder if they should stand or take a knee for the weird banner.
The giant display at the game reminds one of the US-themed bunting seen at political rallies, or patriotic ceremonies, but it certainly isn’t an American flag.

It’s bad enough that the millionaires who make up the ranks of the NFL think they’re “oppressed,” but to start a massive bar brawl over a bar tab while in another country, well, I suppose it’s par for the course at this point.
A group of players from the Jacksonville Jaguars, while playing in the UK Sunday, apparently had a little too much fun the night before, racking up a rather large bill for all the expensive drinks. Apparently they thought they didn’t have to pay it and started their thuggery inside the establishment.

The Sun reports:
AMERICAN football stars were involved in a nightclub brawl over a £50,000 bar bill.
The four Jacksonville Jaguars players were arrested by cops at 4am.
Trouble flared after they were accused of trying to leave the London Reign Showclub without paying their tab yesterday.
The players, who earn an average of £43,000 a week, squared up to bouncers outside the nightspot.
A source said “It was the West End equivalent of King Kong meeting Godzilla.”
The Jaguars are in the capital for an NFL match against Philadelphia Eagles at Wembley today. A group of players and staff attended the private members club, which features burlesque and circus performers.
They sank champagne, starting at £450 bottle, and vodka.
The source went on: “The total bill was in the region of £50,000 and some of the lads tried to leave the club but were prevented from doing so by security.
“Things got pretty heated and there was a lot of swearing and shouting and things became physical. In terms of preparation for their match, you couldn’t think of anything worse.”
Four men in their 20s were arrested for fraud by the Met Police. They were released after nine hours in custody. It is understood the club dropped the complaint after the bill was settled.
