FBI Refused to Charge Islamist Teen, Then Monday He Killed a Child, Stabbed 2 Others

A self-proclaimed ISIS sympathizer accused of stabbing three people, one fatally, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida was already being investigated by the FBI and local police before his attack. According to the Palm Beach Post, the FBI was in the process of “discussing pending federal criminal charges” against him one week before the stabbing.

Corey Johnson, 17, was arrested Monday for stabbing three people during a birthday party sleepover. He killed 13-year-old Jovanni Sierra and seriously wounded Elaine Simon, 43, and her 13-year-old son, Dane Bancroft.

According to authorities, Johnson said it was his Islamic faith that inspired the attack. He told authorities he read the Quran before going to the sleepover “to give him courage to carry out his intentions.”

Johnson’s radical Islamic influences and violent tendencies were not unknown to authorities, according to reports.

Fox News reported that Jupiter Police, Palm Beach County School District police and the FBI previously received “intelligence gathering” on Johnson that prompted an investigation into his “alleged violent tendencies.”

Police reported that Johnson made anti-Semitic and anti-homosexual statements as far back as early middle school. “School police said they received information that Johnson ‘has violent tendencies,’ ‘has spoken about inappropriate places to bomb’ and ‘is a White Supremacist,'” the Palm Beach Post reported.

According to the Palm Beach post, law enforcement also learned there were several guns inside of Johnson’s home.

Do you think the FBI failed in this situation?

Johnson’s mother and grandparents also reportedly told law enforcement that Johnson was enthralled with dictators such as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Kim Jong Un. They also alerted police to the fact that Johnson was interested in Islam and was reading the Quran.

The FBI initially chose not to pursue charges against Johnson. Instead, they “believed a redirection approach would be the most beneficial regarding his conduct” because he was a juvenile, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Two years ago, Johnson made violent threats toward a Catholic high school in England.

According to an October 2016 report from the U.K. Mirror, McAuley Catholic High School received a threatening message that was sent on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. At least 100 students were reportedly removed from school in fear of an impending attack.

“We have our sights set on you and by Allah we will kill every single infidel student at this school McAuleySchoolMassacre,” the message read. The FBI later told Jupiter police that a European counter-intelligence agency investigated Johnson’s connection to the threat.

In January 2017, a police report stated that Johnson “has viewed several videos of ISIS online including beheading videos, has stated he wants to join the organization and has also reached out to ISIS via the internet.”

Two months later, the FBI began monitoring Johnson’s computer activity. They also contacted him and demanded he stop all “social media activities related to ISIS and any other terrorist organization,” according to the Palm Beach Post.

Nevertheless, Johnson continued writing more ISIS related posts by that summer, according to the FBI.

Finally, in February of this year, the FBI stated that it had all the evidence necessary to charge Johnson, according to the Palm Beach Post. A month later, on March 5, Jupiter police reached out to the FBI to ask about the charges and when they would be made against Johnson. They were told that the “probable cause affidavits would be coming in the next several weeks,” the Daily Mail reported.

Johnson carried out the deadly attack one week later. According to the Daily Mail, he is now being held at a juvenile detention facility, and a grand jury will decide whether he is tried as an adult.

If we're relying on the FBI to protect US from terrorists, I'd say we need a serious game change.

Freedom of religion will be our downfall. Islamic teaching and Sharia Law is not compatible with our Constitution and our way of life. Mosques should not be allowed to endorse any such religious beliefs.

If one openly associates with MS-13, they should be jailed or deported! This should also apply to anyone supporting ISIS or any other such terrorist organization. We have to be America First! And religious belief cannot be an excuse!

BREAKING: Feds planned to charge Gardens teen for international school threats

JUPITER — A week before Corey Johnson confessed to stabbing three people — one of them fatally — in a Palm Beach Gardens home, authorities were discussing pending federal criminal charges against the 17-year-old, according to a Jupiter police report.

Johnson was arrested Monday on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder after investigators say he killed 13-year-old Jovanni Sierra and stabbed Elaine Simon, 43, and her son 13-year-old, Dane Bancroft, during a sleepover at a home in BallenIsles County Club.

Johnson told police his faith is what led him to the violent acts.

But before the Palm Beach Gardens attack, even as early as middle school, Johnson had been on the radar of law enforcement, the report said.

]911 call: Hear the call to Palm Beach Gardens police about the fatal stabbing in BallenIsles Country Club

In January 2017, several local law-enforcement agencies and the FBI came together with the staff at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, where he was a student at the time. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received information that Johnson supported the terrorist organization ISIS and had reached out to the group online, expressing his desire to join them.

A sheriff’s detective interviewed Johnson for a mental-health assessment and said the teen sympathized with terrorist organizations, the report said.

Palm Beach County School District Police said that during middle school, Johnson made anti-Semitic and anti-homosexual statements. He also said he had similar beliefs to the KKK. School police said they received information that Johnson “has violent tendencies,” “has spoken about inappropriate places to bomb” and “is a White Supremacist.”

Investigators also learned there were several guns inside of Johnson’s residence, according to the report. His family later told investigators there were guns in his mother’s home but were locked in a safe.

When Johnson’s mother and grandparents were interviewed by law enforcement, they said Johnson was fascinated with dictators such as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Kim Jong-un. They said he had “recently began discovering religion” and had been studying the Quran.

After the meeting, the FBI told Jupiter police that a counter-intelligence agency in Europe investigated Johnson’s connection to several threats made on Instagram to McAuley Catholic High School in Doncaster, England. Though the report does not say what the threats were, authorities said they “were so severe in nature that up to 100 students were removed from the school fearing some kind of attack.” British news outlets reported that in October 2016, a threat posted on Instagram stated “we will kill every single infidel student at this school.”

In the weeks following, law enforcement monitored Johnson’s movements and his social-media accounts, and interviewed his family. Authorities noted his Facebook account had the image of a swastika as its profile picture.

Initially, the FBI did not want to charge Johnson because he was a juvenile and “believed a redirection approach would be the most beneficial regarding his conduct.” So in March 2017, the FBI got consent to “mirror” Johnson’s computer activity.

Additionally, they spoke with the teen —who denied any affiliation with ISIS — and told him “to cease all social media activities related to ISIS and any other terrorist organization” and have no further contact with the Catholic high school in England, the report said.

By the summer of 2017, the FBI said Johnson was back to making more online posts and that they were working to bring official charges against him, according to the police report.

In February, the FBI said it had all the evidence it needed and that an assistant U.S. attorney had probable cause to charge Johnson.

On March 5, Jupiter police checked in with the FBI to see where they were with the federal charges and the agent said the affidavits would be “coming in the next several weeks.”

A week later, Johnson was in jail for the fatal stabbing in Palm Beach Gardens.

Muslim teen watched jihadi videos, read Koran for 'courage' before Florida sleepover stabbings, cops say

    By Katherine Lam

Corey Johnson was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

A Florida teenager -- who had previously been investigated for "alleged violent tendencies" -- watched jihadist videos and read the Koran "to give him courage" before stabbing a 13-year-old boy to death and seriously injuring two others at a birthday sleepover Monday, cops said.

Corey Johnson, 17, was charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder after police said he confessed to the assault at the 13th birthday sleepover party at a BallenIsles Country Club home, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Jupiter Police, Palm Beach County School District police and the FBI previously received “intelligence gathering” on Johnson that prompted an investigation into his “alleged violent tendencies,” the Palm Beach Post reported.

"Corey Johnson is out there with a knife. He's a murderer. That's all I know."
    - Neighbor

Johnson reportedly told police he woke up at 4 a.m. Monday at Kyle Bancroft’s home and had an urge to kill Kyle’s mother, Elaine Simon; Kyle’s brother, 13-year-old Dane Bancroft; and Dane’s friend, 13-year-old Jovanni Sierra. The three victims were each asleep at the time, the Post reported.

"In his statement, Johnson advised he stabbed the victims because of his Muslim faith," the affidavit stated.

Johnson and Kyle Bancroft allegedly watched violent jihadist videos the night before the 17-year-old carried out the deadly stabbing. Using a knife he brought to the home, Johnson stabbed Sierra multiple times before slitting his throat.

Simon, apparently hearing Sierra moaning in pain, began walking upstairs around 6 a.m. when Johnson allegedly lunged at her. Police say he stabbed her at least a dozen times before she fell down the stairs. Dane was stabbed 32 times while attempting to help his mother, according to the Palm Beach Post.

“He’s a hero," the boy's father said during a phone interview with the Post. “He saved his mom."

Sierra was pronounced dead at the scene. Simon and Dane were taken to the hospital, where Simon remains in good condition as of Tuesday.

Kyle Bancroft and Johnson were not harmed in the incident.

Police were alerted after Simon ran to a neighbor begging to call 911.

"She rang my bell, she’s bleeding," the neighbor said later. "Corey Johnson is out there with a knife. He’s a murderer. That’s all I know. They're trying to help the kid the kids filled with blood."
Johnson was taken into custody about 8 a.m. after briefly barricading himself in a room.

He later told authorities he was upset Sierra, who turned 13 on Monday, called celebrities “gods” because it went against his Muslim faith. Johnson also said Dane made fun of his Islamic faith.
The teen told police he read the Koran before going to the sleepover "to give him courage to carry out his intentions,” according to an affidavit.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received information prior to the stabbings that Johnson reached out to ISIS online and expressed his desire to join the terror group.

Law enforcement officials at the time investigated Johnson by tracking his social media accounts and movements and interviewing his family. The teen was also being investigated for several threats that prompted evacuations at a British school in October 2016.

Authorities had planned to file charges against Johnson for international school threats a week before the sleepover rampage, according to the report.

Johnson went to William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, but recently withdrew, according to the report. Dane Bancroft and Jovanni Sierra were attending Watson B. Duncan Middle School.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The teen accused of murder and attempted murder in a Palm Beach Gardens stabbing was under investigation for terrorist threats by federal authorities, who planned to bring charges against him in the near future.

A Jupiter Police report states that as recent as March 1, the FBI had met with one of Corey Johnson's friends as part of its investigation. FBI agents told Jupiter Police that they were meeting with the Assistant U.S. Attorney to develop affidavits for Johnson's arrest and advised it would be coming in the next several weeks.

In January 2017, police and the FBI investigated several threats that the then Dwyer High School student made on Instagram to a Catholic school in England. Those threats were so severe in nature that up to 100 students were removed from the school fearing some sort of attack.

During the investigation, Corey Johnson's mother and grandparents told police that he was fascinated with dictators and their role in history, including Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Kim Jung Un.

They also advised police that he recently began discovering religion and stated that he owned a Muslim prayer cloth, a Kufi and had been studying the Quran.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office received information that Johnson watched several ISIS videos and according to its report, Johnson said he supported ISIS and reached out to the group and wanted to join the terrorist organization.

The FBI was given consent to monitor Johnson's social media accounts and internet activity by mirroring his computer.

In March 2017, Johnson denied he had any affiliation with ISIS, but did state he was supportive of known terrorist Anwar al Awlaki.

FBI agents advised Johnson to cease all social media activities related to ISIS and any other terrorist organization. He was also advised to have no further communications with anyone associated with the Catholic school he threatened.

Jupiter police says they kept in contact with the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force and in May 2017, they received word from agencies in Europe that Johnson had made some more online posts, and based on these, the FBI was working with the United States Attorney to bring official charges against him.

On Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, Jupiter police made contact with agents from the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force, who advised that they had a meeting set up with the United States Attorney within "the next few weeks."

Johnson confessed to killing 13-year old Jovanni Sierra on March 12, 2018.

Corey Johnson remains behind bars at the Palm Beach County Jail.

School investigations into Corey Johnson go back four years

    Michelle Quesada5:17 PM, Mar 15, 2018

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - The Palm Beach County School District has documented incidents going back four years involving the 17-year-old accused of stabbing three people and killing one this week in Palm Beach Gardens.

These school reports reveal that on several occasions students and even the principal of Dwyer High School spoke up about Corey Johnson.

From threats that he allegedly made to other students on social media, to hateful comments students say he openly made in class, one of his classmates told police they could not take it anymore.

The reports start in 2014 when Johnson was a student at Independence Middle School in Jupiter. School records show a student came forward and told police Johnson was taking unwanted pictures of her while on the school bus and used several social media accounts to get in contact with her, sent her text messages and allegedly solicited sexual acts.

Later that year, a police report says Johnson got into a fight with another student on the bus.

In 2015, a student told police Johnson made hateful remarks in class saying "All gays should be killed," "Jewish people are going to hell" and talked about the KKK. The student told police that Johnson used to have a Hitler sticker on his identification picture.

When police met with Johnson's mom, she said she would have Johnson attend a church youth program to help him with his religious opinions.

In 2016, Johnson's sister told a teacher that she was afraid of her brother and used to sleep with a pocket knife underneath her pillow. She said that his 'white supremacists beliefs' were 'escalating.'

That year the principal at Dwyer received anonymous emails alleging that Johnson posted a picture of two students in his culinary class on social media and said: "Tomorrow I am planning to kill the (expletive) in the back after fifth period with two knives."

Police said the screen names were not shown and they were not able to determine who was making the threat. Most of the reports were closed out saying no crime was committed.
In 2017, an officer spoke to Johnson's sister which led to a school police officer observing Johnson during lunch time. He noted Johnson would sit in his usual spot, a bench by himself, would not eat and spent the entire lunch period scrolling on his phone. When the officer asked him if he got along with other students at Dwyer, he reportedly said he did not like anyone at the school they are "loud, obnoxious, and self-centered."

The officer noted that Johnson would give him the answers he wanted to hear while talking to him as to not "raise any suspicious flags."

Police were tipped off to possible behavioral issues by Johnson's sister who told police that her brother was inspired by books about the Columbine shooting and the Oklahoma City bombing. The sister told police she was concerned for him.

The school police officer who observed Johnson at school wrote in his report that Johnson purposely "flies under the radar" and that this behavior along with the allegations that he is "fascinated with extremists groups and beheadings" may be a "potential problem in the future."

The officer documented that these characteristics should be explored further by a licensed mental health physician.

The FBI has been investigating Johnson and Jupiter police confirm the FBI was looking into alleged threats Johnson made to a Catholic School in England.

A report says two weeks ago the FBI was planning to arrest Johnson in the coming weeks on federal charges. Palm Beach Gardens police said Tuesday that Johnson was recently withdrawn from Dwyer High School.

So does the florida school shooter. Seems to be another fatherless home with dysfunctional mother. When your sister sleeps with a knife because she fears her brother, you know the daily atmosphere ongoing in that household was out of control. For a parent to allow this to continue, is enabling, same with police, fbi.

Just like other mass shooters that lived at home, parent knew what they were doing with guns, rifles, hot head behaviour - all the while knowing the kid is out of control and mentally unstable. They don't, won't or don't know how to deal with it. And they probably don't want their precious to have to undergo some sort of REAL help.

So many youths are autistic, aspergers, other disorders and the drugs stabilize a little but comes out they lead to more far out behaviour. Overdue time to clean up our atmosphere, our food & water sources and the vaccines. Now they are giving probiotics to newborns with their vaccines. they know those vaccines destroy the necessary positive gut bacteria and then the bad ones travel to the brain and stay there. God forbid they should research all this BEFORE they immunize for decades.
