FL-SEN Alert: Rubio Now Leads Crist

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows conservative Marco Rubio leading Governor Charlie Crist by 3 points and beating Democrat incumbent Kendrick Meeks by 9 points. This represents a major reversal in this race.

Marco Rubio started the race last year polling in single digits and the Republican establishment in Washington said he had no chance.

But now Rubio's leading the race and is in a strong position to win this important Senate seat for conservatives.

Unfortunately, Governor Crist still has a significant fundraising advantage and plans to empty his war chest on negative ads attacking Rubio.

In fact, Governor Crist announced yesterday that he raised over $2 million in the last quarter of 2009 and has $7.5 million cash on hand.

i dont like this because when he was the speaker
he would stall any bill having to deal with illegal immigration
