How cool! The foreign investors are coming here to buy our infrastructure for real, real cheap. Realtors, desperate for business are even running tours for Chinese investors, buying everything in sight. And realize, that the money they invest here in real estate is the product of us buying the garbage they send here and the interest taxpayers pay on their investments of our Treasury obligations.

Okay, let's throw a new theorem into this. And yes, I do read sci-fi.
The Chinese own a lot of stuff in Miami, the Japanese own 7-11 stores (80 percent stockholders) as well as being major stockholders in Westvaco, last I heard. The Swiss company (Nestles) is buying our water rights for bottled water as they did in Taylor County, FL (gollygee, 200 jobs!) Foreigners are running our roads and bridges, either through lease or outright sale. A Russian fertilizer tycoon bought Trump's estate. And now we have to press one for English.
And while we happily spend on crap that will not last (functional obsolescence) imported here, the dollars are coming back to us to buy the very ground under our feet.
There is no end in sight, and as to what could happen when all these foreigners bring in troops to protect their financial interests. (Okay, that was my sci-fi moment.)
Point being with all the free trade, we are getting our money back as we continue selling this country in little pieces to all comers.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The more people from other countries that own property here the more they will be opposed to their home country ever invading the U.S., but (Sci-Fi) watch out for those Martians. They don't own anything here so they will have no problem with an invasion that destroys everything.

Apparently, JD2, you have never tried to own property in another country.
They make it real simple. You cannot be an owner unless you are a citizen of that country.
Sami was an Egyptian who had legally been in Gemany for 20 years and married a German woman. Every piece of real estate they owned had to be in her name as he was not a citizen.
My family members tried to buy an old castle in Ireland, but they were not citizens, so no go!
These countries jealously protect the ground of their countries, while we sell everything to the highest bidder. And I mean everything the American people have invented and built. Even IBM sold out their intellectual property to China.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Why are you telling me about all of this? I just get tired of people whining and complaining about everything that happends anyplace in the world. I have no control over it so there is nothing I can do about it.
