Windowless planes are coming, and they look amazing
What will replace those small, fogged-up plastic windows is awesome.

The World’s First Remote Control Helicopter Powered Human Flight
Lyndsey D 5 days ago
After four months of testing, and thousands of Euros in project expenses, a Spanish-German team made aviation and world history by air lifting a woman with two remote-controlled helicopters. You have got to check out how crazy this stunt is on the video! How Two RC HeliCopters Lifted a Human Being
In a 3-minute video, the HeliGraphix crew not only lifted a woman about 10 feet in the air, they used copter-mounted cameras and a remote tripod camera to capture the action from all angles and show you up-close the equipment used.
The video opens with a split screen showing a woman holding two gymnastics rings on the left side and a view of the two copters mid-air on the right side. As the video rolls, the woman lifts up. You see her soaring for about 20 seconds, until she lands safely.
Then you see close ups of the specific equipment used to lift the woman.
Around the one-minute mark, the video shows you the two men setting up their copters and getting ready for the flight. You’ll see that all that’s holding up this woman is a yellow rope secured to the copters and the gymnastics rings. She’s gotta have some major guns to grip for that long, that’s for sure!
She’s in the air for a couple of minutes, looking relaxed and happy and not at all terrified that nothing but a couple remote control helicopters and a piece of rope are holding her up. The guys pull her back and forth a little, essentially flying her around this little plaza where they are doing the test run.
Gaui X7 Helicopter’s Performance and Specs
The copters shown in the video are two Gaui X7 helicopters, each weighing just under 13-1/2 pounds and with a wingspan of just over 5-1/4 feet. Yet these are not just regular hobby shop copters, they’re H.U.L.C.s: Heavy Ultra Lifter Cranes. Each copter can deliver 10 kW of continuous power to lift, pull, and tow.
Project leader and pilot Tobias Wagner said the copters are the most rigid and stables one that he has ever worked with! That Scorpion Evo 5035 motor is specially manufactured to deliver 2,400 RPM for the blade. There’s a major stabilization system in place that helps keep the copter mechanisms steady and make the ride comfortable. The X7 also has a Naza GPS for enhanced performance.
Watch this behind the scenes video yourself to get a closer look at all of the components that make up the copter and learn more tips and tricks about how this was done (and how you can turbo charge an RC copter).
While you probably won’t be able to put anyone in the air yourself with your remote-controlled heli, it is pretty inspiring to see it happen. Since the initial flight, the Spanish team has gone on to lift more woman and a man. They’ve got plenty more videos online, so definitely watch them all and share your favorite part in the comments!
