Fox News Calls Mr. Rogers An Evil Man

Little did I know, Mr. Rogers was an evil man. By telling children they’re special just for being who they are, he helped create this generation of worthless, lazy socialists who think they’re entitled to health care… at least according to Fox News.

They actually use the word “evilâ€

Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood was a lovely program, perfect for its intended audience - primarily pre-school children. It also featured real people familiar to children and taught a lot of excellent "real world" information in addition to the stories and puppet shows, etc.. Mr. Rogers spoke to his audience with respect and without "talking down" to them. I believe he also made it clear that he expected his "friends" (the children) to return this respect in their dealings with others!

Also, Mr. Rogers and other human members of his company conveyed most of the information themselves -- unlike the artificial and sometimes off-putting characters and methods used by "Sesame Street". Unlike the "Sesame Street franchise", Mr. Rogers did not make millions of dollars doing what he did. I believe what they are referring to was the concept of rewarding children IN PUBLIC SCHOOL and other events organized for children (sports leagues), for example, for any effort at all. I wish my son had been able to watch Mr. Rogers - it was a extremely well-written and beautifully produced program which did a great service to the audience to whom Mr. Rogers committed himself - the very young people of our world.

I watched the entire segment. They were referring to the words of the author of the LSU study, and then talking it up with their own comments, including the need for teaching personal responsibility, viewer comments, and the comments of Dr. Georgia Witkin.

And if you are interested in the ’study’ done by the LSU professor, it’s available at the Wall Street Journal: Blame It on Mr. Rogers: Why Young Adults Feel So Entitled.
Mr. Rogers had a nice manner about him.

    John 14:27 (King James Version)
It is written,... Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
