    Illegal Killed By Lightening

They actually let us know he is illegal. He is not the first illegal that was killed by lightening this year in South Florida.

Landscaper killed by lightning while working in Parkland

A lightning stroke that came without rain or thunder killed a landscaper Monday afternoon as he trimmed weeds along a lake in Parkland's Ternbridge Estates neighborhood, authorities said.

They identified the man as Domingo Andres Francisco, 24, of North Lauderdale. The Guatemalan national had moved to Broward County in May, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

He is the third person in less than a month to be killed by lightning in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Angel Villanueva, 20, of Cococnut Creek was playing soccer with his relatives at Lake Wyman Park in Boca Raton when he was struck July 30. He died Aug. 2.

On July 22, lightning struck the air tank of a scuba diver who was in the water off Deerfield Beach. Stephen Wilson, 36, of Deerfield Beach, was knocked unconscious and pronounced dead minutes later.

In the latest incident, Broward Sheriff's deputies reached the 7100 block of Northwest 68th Drive just after 2:15 p.m. to find Francisco unconscious on the ground, said Sheriff's spokesman Mike Jachles. Deputies performed CPR on Francisco, but he died soon after at North Broward Medical Center, Jachles said.

On Monday afternoon, Francisco was working with three other men employed by AmeriLawn and Landscaping, Inc., of Wellington, but no one else was injured, Jachles said.

Though the crew saw storm clouds in the distance they did not plan to stop working right away because it had not started raining and they did not see any lightning prior to their co-worker being struck, Jachles said.

This is truly unfortunate. I am saddened that a lightning strike killed Mr. Francisco. We should pray for his family, who will probably have no means of support.

I do not believe this was justice or in any way punishment for being an illegal alien. Certainly no one deserves such a penalty for being in and working in the country illegally. Perhaps if Mr. Francisco had not been landscaping, a legal alien or a U.S. citizen might have been killed instead.

How sad that anyone should die a tragic death in a foreign land while trying to earn a living. Lord, have mercy on his soul.
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!

It is sad that he died that way but it is just shows how they don't fool safety rules that most of all would follow. Many take unnecessary risks and end up hurt. This is not just in landscaping but in other jobs like construction as well. Since the illegals almost took over all the new condo construction job the amount of work place injuries and deaths has increased greatly.

I know a man who once supervised illegals and he told me that he had to send them off the job site as they came to work in running shoes. He would have someone explain to them that they needed work boots.

Just think....if he'd obeyed our immigration and employment laws, and he wasn't living and working in our country illegally...he'd be alive today.

And no, I don't find this at all sad. He was killed while in the process of commiting two crimes: living and working in this country illegally. I can't drum up any sympathy for him.

Yep. Illegal aliens either don't understand or choose to ignore basic safety rules. There have been some horrific accidents involving illegals operating construction equiptment that they were not familiar with. We had a group of them out digging along the street last year and they hit the water main. I guess I should feel kind of grateful it wasn't the gas main.
