Allen will return to Legislature for special session

TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A state representative charged with soliciting prostitution will return to the Legislature for a special session on state spending.

Bob Allen's trial was scheduled to start today, but a Brevard County judge has delayed trial until November fifth after Allen's attorney said he needed more time to prepare his case.

The special session will be held October third through October 12th.

Allen, a Republican, was stripped of his chairmanship of the House energy committee after being accused of agreeing to pay $20 to perform oral sex on an undercover police officer in July in a park bathroom. Allen denies the allegations.
