GOP's Snowe voting for Democrats' health care bill

GOP's Snowe voting for Democrats' health care bill

WASHINGTON — Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe says she will vote for a Democratic health care bill, breaking with her party on President Barack Obama's top legislative priority.

The Maine senator kept virtually all of Washington guessing how she would vote until she announced it late in the Senate Finance Committee debate Tuesday. Until then, she told reporters, she had not even let Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in on her secret. She told her colleagues: "When history calls, history calls," even though she had some criticism of the bill.

Democrats, aware that Snowe could be the only Republican in Congress to vote for their health care overhaul, have spent months addressing her concerns about making health care affordable and how to pay for it.

This is a larger scale scam then the Stimulus rip off bill.

If she votes for this health care she is a traitor.

How can she/ they vote for a bill that is going to be merged with a bill they don't even get to read?

If tney pass this, we must all push for "States Rights" States to nullify the health care reform bill.

    PS
I saw this on C-Span earlier today and it was disgusting, all the Dems swear it will cost less, cover more people and offer better care. Liers.
Also about the cost, they have not even been able to estimate the totla cost.

I called the numbers for Snowe and asked her offices when she was posting the "check" for all of our debt?

I said I knew that Snowe was a "kind hearted women" so she would not want to saddle that 1.4 Trillion in debt on the American worker and their children so I was looking forward to her "posting" her check on line so we could see it when she paid up!

    The least she could do!

Forty-four percent (44%) of voters nationwide now favor the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s little changed from a week ago. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% are opposed to the plan.

The numbers have been remarkably stable throughout the debate. Currently, 23% Strongly Favor the legislative effort and 39% are Strongly Opposed.

Last week, support for the plan rose to 46%, up five points from a week earlier. With the exception of “bouncesâ€
